Chapter 22
Before even reaching the airport, Clarissa suddenly called.
Sebastian stared at Clarissa’s name on the screen, irritably swiping to answer: “What is it?”
“Sebastian, I know where my sister is!”
“But… could you come to my house first? I’m afraid I can’t explain clearly over the phone.”
His grip on the phone tightened suddenly, and Sebastian turned to grab his car keys: “I’ll be there in twenty minutes.”
The lights of the Skylar mansion were particularly glaring in the night.
The moment Sebastian stepped onto the porch, Clarissa threw herself into his arms, her perfume making him instinctively frown. “What’s this about Elizabeth’s whereabouts?”
He subtly pushed her away.
“Don’t rush.”
“Actually, I… had a friend look into it. She’s in the Netherlands now, and she’s gotten very close to some man.”
Sebastian’s heart began racing inexplicably upon hearing these words.
The Netherlands was exactly the direction the detective had pinpointed, but who was this “man” Clarissa mentioned?
Was he Elizabeth’s friend? Or someone she’d just met?
Countless questions swirled in his mind.
He grabbed Clarissa’s wrist, his grip so tight she cried out in pain: “Where exactly? Do you know the specific address?”
“Sebastian, what are you doing? You’re hurting me!”
Clarissa’s eyes reddened, tears streaming down her face. “I was worried about you, so I…”
“The address!”
Sebastian’s roar made the crystal chandelier tremble slightly.
“Why are you so desperate to find her?”
“Are you playing games with me?”
Sebastian’s voice was cold as ice.
Clarissa asked through tears: “You’re being so mean to me now-don’t you love me anymore?”
She sobbed as she pressed closer: “Sebastian, dare you say Elizabeth isn’t in your heart?!”
Seeing his silence, Clarissa suddenly became hysterical, shoving him: “Say something! Are you feeling guilty?”
Her screaming stopped abruptly.
Her phone slipped from her fingers, and Sebastian instinctively bent down to pick it up. The chat records that appeared on the unlocked screen made him freeze completely.
Dozens of messages displayed on the screen, all filled with insults directed at Elizabeth.
Sebastian instantly broke out in a cold sweat, his hand trembling as he held the phone.
He spent several minutes building up his courage before finally clicking into the conversation.

Chapter 22
Most of it contained photos of himself and Clarissa, along with pictures from their outings.
But he didn’t dare open those densely packed text messages, nor did he dare to read them a second time.
“Sebastian’s heart only has room for me. Doesn’t that hurt you?”
“You may be married, but his heart has always been with me. Won’t you consider divorce?”
“You’ve attempted suicide so many times, and he doesn’t even care. Unlike me-he gets frantic over the slightest thing that happens to me. Shows how worthless your life is.”
For more than half a month, it was all this kind of provocative talk.
Rage surged in Sebastian’s chest.
There was even a large money transfer message, with the recipient replying that the job was done.
The date was exactly the day of the kidnapping.
Sebastian finally understood-it had all been actors that Clarissa had paid for.
“What exactly have you been hiding from me?”
