Stood by my side, asserting his claim.
He pulled me into his embrace, then provocatively kissed my lips, as if challenging Julian Thome.
“Julian Thome, you don’t need to worry about Stella and my happiness.”
I looked worriedly at Liam Knight’s legs, and he whispered close to my ear.
“It’s okay.”
Liam Knight had been in a car accident, and the nerves in his legs were severely damaged, causing him to lose mobility and sensation in his legs.
Neurologists worldwide were baffled.
Until that day, after I’d eaten, I was sitting on Liam Knight’s lap, playfully asking him to tell me a story.
Liam Knight suddenly groaned, “Ouch.”
Immediately after, Liam and I were pleasantly surprised to discover that his legs had regained sensation.
The Knight family mobilized all their connections, finding the best acupuncturists and Chinese medicine doctors.
In just one month, Liam Knight was able to stand on his own and walk slowly.
I leamed massage techniques from a Chinese medicine practitioner and massaged Liam Knight daily without fail, encouraging him to do rehabilitation exercises.
Julian Thome stumbled backward in disbelief. “Impossible.”
“You’ve been crippled for over ten years. How is that possible?”
Liam Knight chuckled, tightly holding my hand.
“With a lucky star like Stella by my side, what isn’t possible?”
Julian Thome desperately reached for my hand, trying to persuade me with our past affection,
“But Stella, we had six happy years.”
“You’re already used to me being by your side.”
Liam Knight narrowed his eyes slightly, his voice full of oppressive power.
“Six years?”
“I’ve known her since we were bom. I’m the one who understands her best in this world.”
“If she hadn’t liked you back then, I would have married her and made her my wife long ago.” “You didn’t cherish her, so I’ll take her back and make her my most precious treasure.”
My nose stung. I gently scraped Liam Knight’s palm with my pinky finger.
His eyes darkened as he stared at me, as if he wanted to devour me whole.
Julian Thome still persistently held the pearl necklace out to my hand.
“Stella, if you don’t like the necklace, I can have it remade into a ring.”
“Whatever you want, I’ll fight to get it for you.”
I dismissively slapped Julian Thome’s hand away, throwing the pearl necklace directly out the window.
Liam Knight secretly pinched my waist, hinting for me to quickly send Julian Thome away.
1 don’t need you to give me anything.”
“Giving me peace is the best gift you can give.”
Too lazy to waste any more words, I directly told the butler to escort him out.
The butler called the strong bodyguards, who forcibly removed Julian Thome from the Knight mansion.
He clung to the door, refusing to leave, continuously shouting my name.
I drew the curtains, cutting him off from view.
Liam Knight lay half–naked on the bed, revealing his muscular upper body.
“Stella, come to bed.”
His eyes held a smile, but I couldn’t help but feel he was like a smiling tiger, and I dared not approach.
Liam Knight got out of bed and embraced me, tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear.
“You want to do it by the window?”
My cheeks burned. I instantly understood Liam Knight’s meaning and stamped my foot coquettishly.
“You need to control yourself! The doctor said you can’t right now…”
Before I could finish, Liam Knight roughly sealed my lips.
He ferociously conquered, giving me no chance to breathe.
The next day, Liam Knight sweet–talked me into going to the courthouse for the marriage license.
The red booklet in my hand was still warm. I stood frozen in place.
Liam Knight bit the soft flesh of my cheek. “What’s wrong? Are you so happy you’re speechless?”
I snapped back to reality, looking at our shadows standing side–by–side on the ground.
Vash”
“Yeah.”
I’m crazy. I actually married you.”
Liam Knight angrily squeezed my palm. “Stella, it’s too late to regret it now.”
I smiled brightly, linking my arm through Liam Knight’s, and coaxed him.
“Already on this crazy ride with you, no turning back now.”
As we left the courthouse, I saw Julian Thome standing on the steps, his eyes red.
He still tightly clutched that pearl necklace, his entire body trembling.
As we passed Julian Thome, I heard his hoarse plea.
“Stella, can you really not give me another chance?”
I didn’t respond. Instead, I continued walking forward with Liam Knight.
“Can we go to my favorite restaurant for a big dinner tonight? I’m craving it!”
Liam Knight dotingly poked my forehead. “Okay.”
