The Revenge 20

Chapter 20

The man, emboldened by her apparent vulnerability and his drunken state, became even more aggressive. He cornered her against the wall, his hands itching to take advantage. Don’t be afraid, pretty lady. Come with me to the private room, and I’ll treat your eyes tonight.”

A flash of cold calculation crossed Camilla’s eyes beneath her sunglasses. She tightened her grip on her white cane, ready to strike a specific spot that would paralyze the man’s movement and then disable him completely

Just as the man’s hand reached for her, a sharply dressed man emerged from behind and grabbed the lecher’s hand, snapping it back with a forceful twist

Ah!the man screamed in pain

Camilla was taken aback. She examined the man who had come to her rescue. He looked to be around thirty, exuding the aura of a highranking executive. She was certain she had never seen him before

Elias, having pinned the man’s head against the wall, spoke coldly. Sir, if you’re drunk, go lie down in the private room. Need me to escort you?”

The man, now sobering up from the shock, pleaded for mercy. No, no, I’ll go back on my own.”

As he tried to leave, a deep, indifferent voice echoed behind him, tinged with a chilling menace that seemed to freeze his very bones. Think you can just walk away that easily?”

Camilla froze involuntarily, her gaze slowly shifting to the source of the voice

Chapter 20

Benedict was striding down the hallway, the dim light filtering through his sunglasses, casting a soft, warm glow that reminded her of a sunset

For a moment, Camilla felt as if she had been transported back to the airport seven years ago. The memory of Benedict from that time seemed to overlap with the man before her

Camilla, was it worth it?The question, emerging from the depths of her memory, struck her like a drumbeat, shaking her to her core

Seven years had passed

Benedict was so perfect that his presence was like the most vivid stroke in the canvas of time. Once one had seen him, one could never forget him

Moreover, Camilla and Benedict had once been like two needles clashing against each other, so much so that even their teacher, Madison Clemente, had once teased that they were evenly matched geniuses

As Benedict approached, his tailored dark suit accentuated his already sharp and chiseled features, making him look like a living sculpture. There was an almost intimidating aura of divinity about him

Compared to seven years ago, Benedict’s demeanor was now even more composed and dangerous, like a deep, swirling vortex that could swallow everything without a sound

Camilla just wanted to run. Meeting her old archnemesis at her lowest point was about as awkward and embarrassing as it could get

If Benedict recognized her in her current state, given how much he had disliked her, he would probably laugh at her in his dreams

Apologize to this lady.Benedict’s voice rang out again

Upon hearing this, the tension in Camilla’s mind eased. Benedict hadn’t recognized her. After all, it had been seven years, and she had lost a lot of

weight. With her sunglasses on, it was perfectly normal that Benedict wouldn’t recognize her

Benedict glanced at Camilla’s hand gripping the white cane, and visibly relaxed. He subtly curled his lips into a smile, his eyes becoming even more playful. Tsk, she’s still so easy to deceive,he thought to himself

The lecherous man, though reluctant, saw Benedict’s intimidating presence and the fact that Elias still had a firm grip on his arm. He had no choice but to submit. I’m sorry, miss. I was drunk. Please forgive me.”

Benedict dismissed the man with a casual wave of his hand. Since you’re drunk, find a place to lie down.”

Yes, sir,the man replied hastily, fleeing like a scared animal
