Even though Oliver was nearing financial ruin, he still had certain inherent advantages that remained appealing. Sally, having experienced those benefits, was reluctant to abandon him–seeing as he was her source
of wealth.
She intended to fight for the most she could get out of the divorce.
For a while, their situation was completely chaotic.
Unfortunately for Sally, both Oliver’s business and house were the assets I possessed before my marriage to Oliver. I had only postponed reclaiming them due to my pregnancy.
Given the circumstances, Sally couldn’t claim anything.
While observing from afar, I thought that things could escalate even more, so I arranged for someone to inform Sally’s parents.
Coming from a poor family in a remote mountain village, her parents believed that her education would elevate the family’s status. They never imagined she would be at the center of such a scandal.
Now, they were understandably unwilling to simply overlook it.
They cursed Sally in an attempt to manipulate her into divorcing Oliver and having her remarry someone else, all while suing Oliver for allegedly bullying their daughter so that they could try to get money from him.
The situation was utter chaos, with no resolution in sight for quite some
time.
It was only after I managed to reclaim all of Oliver’s assets and Sally’s

As my career gradually got back on track, I encountered Oliver again.

He had just wrapped up his lawsuit with Sally and was waiting outside my company to catch me.
By chance, Adam was there to pick me up from work with our one–year-
old.
As soon as I turned around, I spotted Oliver nearby–disheveled, unshaven, and with bloodshot eyes.
He lurched toward me, one unsteady step at a time.
“Did you contact Sally’s parents?
“You had always known the child wasn’t mine, hadn’t you? You just wanted to see me embarrass myself and end up like this!”
Seeing his agitated state, I didn’t take him seriously. I simply smiled and nodded.
I wasn’t sure if he had finally snapped or if the joyful scene of my little family had stung him deeply.
He suddenly pulled a fruit knife from his pocket and rushed at us.
However, before he could get near, the bodyguards had already subdued
him.
His futile struggles, cries, and sobs achieved nothing.
The only thing awaiting him was a lengthy prison sentence.
Shortly afterward, my wedding to Adam went off without a hitch.

Our son naturally took the role of the flower boy.
He wobbled toward us and handed Adam the ring.
Adam lowered himself onto one knee, his gaze was soft and tender.

He admitted that he had secretly developed feelings for me back in our university years, but he was afraid that I wouldn’t be as happy as I could be if I got together with him.
So, he never managed to gather the courage to tell me. Only after he found success in his career and realized that I had not gotten together with the right man did he gain the confidence to pursue me.
Fortunately, his efforts were not in vain.
I held out my hand, and he gently slid a brand–new ring onto my ring finger.
The stunning gemstone shimmered under the lights, resembling a ray of pure white moonlight.
This lunar glow had been with me on my journey to happiness and was now leading me into a new phase of life:
