Chapter 1 The Anonymous Emall

We had been together for seven years, and I never knew my fiancé had a first love he cherished deeply

That was, until the night before our wedding, when I received an anonymous email

Inside was a video of him with his first love, and the intimate scenes were beyond disgusting

Afterwards, I overheard him say to her, If only you were the one in the wedding dress. The thought of marrying Aurora makes me

sick to my stomach

And thenjust as he had hoped, I ran away from the wedding. But he lost his mind

The night before the wedding. I was up early, writing my vows with dark circles under my eyes. To make sure our wedding went off without a hitch, I hadn’t had a full night’s sleep for days

I had taken care of everythingeverything for the wedding was in my hands. My fiancé, Cadell Hartman, claimed he was busy with work and had been glued to his office for the past few days

I believed him

Even the vows were written by metwo versions, his and mine

Right when I was finishing the last line, an anonymous email pinged on my phone

Curious, I clicked on it, only to be greeted by a shocking video

The couple in the video were entangled in an intimate embrace, their heavy breaths and soft moans filling my ears

I initially thought it was some prank video, but then I froze as soon as I recognized the man’s face. There was no mistaking itit was my fiancé, Cadell

My grip on the mouse tightened, and I stared at the screen for what felt like an eternity, the birthmark on his waist clearly visible

In that instant, the weight of the reality dawned on meit was really him

I could hardly believe it. There was no sign of it being tampered withit was real

My fiancé had cheated on me just days before our wedding

The video showed him passionately holding a woman, thrusting into her, his delighted sighs filling the space

Compared to the gentle, wellmannered man I knew, he looked like a completely different person

Blood rushed to my head. I clenched my teeth, tasting the blood rising in my throat, the fury building up inside me. My eyes

locked on the scene, the bed, the surrounding decorit all felt eerily familiar. Until I saw the bedsheets….

The very same sheets I had meticulously chosen for our wedding night

Cadell had taken this woman into our bedroomthe one I had prepared for usand slept with her just before our wedding

Anger and disbelief flooded my mind, leaving me frozen

I had been with Cadell for seven years, and I never knew about this first love he held so dear

He had hidden it so wellIf it hadn’t been for that anonymous email, I’d still be completely in the dark

I took a deep breath, nausea washing over me as my head spun. Just as I was about to close the video, I heard Cadell’s voice. Lorna, if only you were the one in the wedding dress. The thought of marrying Aurora makes me sick to my stomach.”

The woman named Lorna giggled at his words, teasing him as she pulled him in for a kiss. So, who’s better in bed, me Aurora?”

Cadell chuckled seductively. Definitely you. Aurora’s like a statue. I’d never touch her if she didn’t keep coming after me. I’m only

marrying her because she won’t leave me alone. She’s boring, uptightshe disgusts me

Lorna laughed even more, clearly pleased. So, after the wedding, will you still sneak around with me?”

Of course,Cadell assured her, his voice full of passion. It was like he couldn’t get enough of her, pushing deeper, as if he wanted

to merge with her

murmured, Lorna, don’t worry. You’ll carry my first child, I swear.”

Out of breath, he

I couldn’t bear to listen anymore. The sound of her laughter and moans was li

like a blade stabbing through my

How could Cadell treat me like this

If he hadn’t said it with his own mouth, I would’ve never known. Was I really so worthless to him

Did our entire seven years of relationship mean nothing? Was everything he’d ever done for me just a lie

I shut off the video, my hand shaking as I gripped the mouse

When the screen switched back to the vows I had been editing, my tears began to fall uncontrollably

Looking at the heartfelt words, I couldn’t help but feel how absurd it all was

heart

Seven years of lovehell, even a dog could develop feelings after that long, let alone someone I was about to marry

I wiped away my tears, trying to suppress the crushing pain in my chest, when just then, a message from Cadell popped up

I wiped my eyes, fighting the urge to break down, and clicked on the chat window

Cadell: Babe, one of my friends is rushing back to town to be my best man

I stared at the message, trying to keep my emotions in check

Aurora: Okay, and

Cadell: Well, we’ve got a spot for a bridesmaid, but it’s too late to get someone else. So I found someone for you. See? I’m so

thoughtful

He sent a picture along with the message

I took one look at the picture and my blood ran cold. The woman in the photo was none other than his affair partner

At that moment, a mix of humiliation and rage washed over me. I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly

my wedding

Not only had Cadell cheated on me the night before our wedding, but now he was putting his mistress in my

Was he planning on having an affair with her in our wedding suite during the ceremony

I stared at the picture and his smug words, forcing myself to text

Aurora: Who is she

Cadell replied with a voice message, his tone sweet and affectionatecompletely at odds with the man I’d seen in the video. She’s a colleague from work, Lorna Hill. She’s free tomorrow, so she can step in and help us out.”

A colleague

I couldn’t believe it. He’d already shamelessly inserted her into his life

Sure I wouldn’t catch on?!

I couldn’t stop imagining itwhile I was at home, anxiously waiting for him to come back so I could make him dinner, was he locked in an embrace with Lorna

The thought of it made me want to vomit

Cadell, lost in his role of the perfect fiancé, continued, Babe, she’s done us such a big favor so

nice gift

I couldn’t contain the sarcasm as I replied

Aurora: Oh, of course. I’ll get her a very special gift

I typed the words with emphasis, each letter dripping with venom

I wasn’t some sort of pushover. Cadell had humiliated me like this, and he was going to pay for it

As my fury reached its peak, Cadell sent another photo

should definitely get her

Cadell: By the way, did you return the bridesmaid dress? I got a different one. It’s from a friend’s brand, so we could get a discount. I’ve already ordered the right size.”

I clicked the image, my body trembling with rage

What did he order

A wedding dress! Not a bridesmaid dresshis plan was to have her wear a wedding dress

He was trying to use our wedding to fulfill his and Lorna’s secret desires

I couldn’t help but laugh bitterly again. For seven years, I had been the one making compromises for him. If it hadn’t been for that anonymous email, I would have never seen this side of him

I closed the computer with a bang, seething with fury

He wanted to cheat on me

Fine. I would expose every filthy thought he had and make sure everyone knew about it
