through the glass onto her, Jeremiah seemed to see the determined little girl from years ago.
Seem weak, but actually strong.

Jeremiah took Paulette back to Emberglade Villa before returning to
Fromond.
“If you have something to do, go ahead and do it first, I still need to tidy up a bit.”
Jeremiah pondered for a moment and said softly, “Paula, do you want to move in with me first?”
“What?” i
“I mean, I had a house on Fromond’s side.”
Jeremiah saw her looking scared, and he couldn’t help but laugh, “I’ll probably be staying in Fromond for a few more days. If you don’t want to stay here, you can come live with me. The housekeeper has already cleaned the room.”
Paulette thought, Yeah, that could work.
They were going to get married anyway, and Jeremiah isn’t a bad guy.

Paulette went back and saw, besides those books, there were also some unworn old clothes that could be recycled over there at the recycling bin.
She called the staff over, and after they took everything away, she contacted the cleaners to clean all the rooms upstairs and downstairs to make sure nothing was left behind, before carrying her few boxes out of
the villa.
Paulette turned her head and looked at the house, feeling a sense of loss.
From today on, life will be without Nelson.
She smiled, and her hair was gently lifted by the wind.
“I’m outta here.”
Without any response, a sentence was spoken, Paulette no longer hesitated, she turned around and walked away.
She was about to make a moving appointment on Dolly when she took out her phone and saw a black Cayenne slowly approaching not far away, driven by Jeremiah’s assistant, Bryson Norton.
“Ms. Davenport, Mr. Swanson asked me to come and pick you up.”
Paulette was stunned, “How did he know I had finished cleaning up?”
“Maybe…” Bryson chuckled, “Mr. Swanson must have some kind of psychic ability.”
Since there was a free ride, Paulette didn’t hesitate and helped Bryson load the luggage onto the car before heading to Jeremiah’s place.

the city center, high–rise and flat, where you could stand by the window and overlook most of Fromond’s grand scenery.
Bryson had the property staff come to help, pressed the elevator button,
and said, “Ms. Davenport, you go up first, leave the rest to us.”
Paulette didn’t hesitate, she took her bag and went upstairs.
On the 58th floor, the elevator took quite a while.
She took a deep breath in front of the mirror in the elevator, then fixed her hair and clothes.
Looking at the girl inside who was still not dressed up, Paulette couldn’t help but regret… Why didn’t she take a shower before coming out? Now going up like this, will Jeremiah think she’s sloppy?
I hadn’t thought much about where to go yet, and then the elevator
arrived.
Paulette secretly cheered herself on.
Who cares if it’s messy!
Love to watch, if you don’t like it, just close your eyes. She doesn’t want to deliberately make things difficult for herself for the sake of men’s opinions!
Paulette was too focused on self–improvement, she forgot this building is one apartment per floor.
I hadn’t even come to my senses yet, and I was already in the middle of the living room.
She looked at the man on the chair not far away, and then lowered her
head after a while.

Looked down at my feet.
Didn’t change shoes.
From the moment she walked in, Jeremiah had a smile on his face as he watched all of her reactions.
He put down the book in his hand, got up and walked to the entrance, casually picked up a pair of slippers, and said softly, “I know Ms.
Davenport really wants to see me, but next time, remember to change your shoes before coming in, I’m not in a hurry.”
She said it as if Paulette was in a hurry.
She blushed and plopped down on the sofa next to her, muttering, “Who told you to make it so complicated, one staircase per household? It’s normal not to react quickly.”
Jeremiah seemed to take it in, nodding thoughtfully, “How about we switch houses then?”
“No, not at all.”
Paulette was scared that he was serious, so she quickly refused.
