Chapter36
She took her shoes and put them in the shoe cabinet, then walked back to the living room, looking around and asking, “When did you renovate the house? It looks really nice, like someone who stays here often.”
But as far as she knew, Jeremiah has been abroad all these years. He came back once two years ago, but didn’t stay for more than two days.
Jeremiah’s eyes twinkled, he coughed lightly twice with a clenched fist against his nose, “Just playing around when I’m free, didn’t expect to end up staying here.”
Paulette let out a sigh, showing understanding.
Rich people, you know, they’re like that.
Whenever he had nothing to do, he would just go around buying houses, without caring if he really needed them or not. Maybe in the end, he even forgot about it himself.
After chatting for a bit, Jeremiah took Paulette to visit the rooms.
This house, although a large single–story, has most of the space in the living room and balcony. Besides the study and walk–in closet, there are actually only three bedrooms.
They are next to the master bedroom.
Paulette looked left, looked right, and finally chose the opposite side.
“Well… I’ll just stay here then, and I’ll rely on Mr. Swanson to teach me a lot in the future,” she pretended to bow.

Jeremiah couldn’t help but chuckle, raising his hand to pinch her face, “Are you silly?”
“Why are you pinching me? You’re the silly one.”

“We’re getting married soon, this is your home,” Jeremiah’s smiling eyes looked at her, with a faint shimmer, “Even if you want to sleep in the master bedroom, I’ll gladly make room for you.”
Paulette felt a bit embarrassed when he looked at her like that, she lowered her head and said softly, “It’s just a few days, it’s all the same wherever you stay.”
“Um.”
Jeremiah stopped teasing her and replied, “Yeah, me too.”
After getting familiar with the environment and finding a place to stay, the next step is to pack up the luggage.
Jeremiah offered to help, but Paulette felt awkward just thinking about it, so she quickly declined, saying, “I don’t need a lot of things brought out, I can do it myself, you go do your thing.
Jeremiah looked at her deeply and said after a while, “Okay.”
So, he sat back down by the French window, picked up the book he was reading before, and continued reading.
In her eyes, the girl’s figure kept running in and out, occasionally stopping with a frustrated look, then figuring it out and continuing to work.
Jeremiah’s mouth curled up slightly, really liking this scene.
Paulette was cleaning the room, so he couldn’t just sit around and do nothing.

Thinking she was only going to stay here for a few days, Paulette didn’t unpack everything. She just opened the box with daily necessities, toothbrush, bath towel, and put them in the bathroom.
The only downside was that the rooms didn’t have separate bathrooms.
She had to use the bathroom outside.
Right next to Jeremiah’s bedroom.
Shouldn’t the master bedroom have its own bathroom?
Paulette had the idea to take out all her daily necessities…but what she saw on the sink were various men’s toiletries neatly arranged.
Her heart skipped a beat, she turned her head incredulously and looked at the master bedroom.
Such a big house… and only one bathroom?
Forget it.
Make do.
Paulette sighed resignedly, arranged things neatly, and the originally sparse bathroom suddenly became crowded, with a touch of…
indescribable warmth.
She sighed and walked out.
A fragrance wafted in from outside.
Paulette walked outside the kitchen and was amazed to see the man inside

working skillfully.
He took off his coat, wearing only a white shirt with rolled–up sleeves, showing his strong and muscular arms. A black apron tied around his waist, perfectly outlining his narrow waist and… the firm buttocks beneath his straight back.
This body, healthy, masculine, and perfectly proportioned.
It’s clearly the result of long–term self–discipline.

Before, Paulette didn’t pay attention, she really didn’t notice that Jeremiah looks slim in clothes but has muscles when he takes them off, so juicy.
“Have you seen enough?”
…
The sudden sound almost scared Paulette.
She looked up and only then did she notice the man in the kitchen, who had turned around at some point and was standing there motionless, like a statue that had taken her by surprise.
She blinked and jerked her head back, saying, “I’ve seen enough.”
Jeremiah raised an eyebrow and smiled, “Well then, I’ll just keep cooking.”
Paulette bit her lip in frustration, then walked in with her hands behind her back, “I didn’t know you could cook before.”
