Ethan saw photos of my lavish wedding in the news.
Rage consumed him, staring at Zoe Jackson’s picture.
Zoe did this, didn’t he?
*He must have!”
Ignoring his mother’s protests, he stormed out of the hospital.
It was our first day as a married couple.
Zoe and I were enjoying a rare moment of intimacy.
The sunshine and fresh air outside held no appeal.
A sharp ring at the doorbell shattered the peace.
Zoe frowned, wondering who would interrupt at this hour.
He threw on a robe and opened the door.
Before he could speak, Ethan’s fist flew towards him.
Zoe easily dodged, grabbing his wrist.
What the hell are you doing?”
Ethan’s eyes were bloodshot, his hair disheveled–a far cry from his usual impeccable appearance.
His voice was icy.
“Zoe, stealing Lanie wasn’t enough. You also arranged for Mason’s accident! He’s in the hospital; his leg might not be saved! You’ll pay for this!”
A fight ensued.
Zoe effortlessly countered each of Ethan’s moves, calmly explaining.
“Ethan, I wouldn’t stoop so low. I only arranged for you to be sent back, giving you something to occupy your time. I didn’t want you interfering with
Lanie and me.”
Drawn by the commotion, I appeared.
“Stop it!”
I yelled, adding, “I believe Zoe. We’ll rely on facts.”
Ethan calmed down at my voice.
The Jackson family released their investigation results; the driver who hit Mason had experienced brake failure–an accident.
Zoe wasn’t involved.
As he’d said, his men had only subdued Ethan and Mason and sent them back to LA. The campaign against the Mason and Song families was underway.
Mrs. Ethan repeatedly called Ethan, urging him to return.
Mason was also sent back to LA for treatment.
Zoe had already established a new company in LA to compete with Ethan Corp.
My family, with its considerable influence and the Jackson alliance, began to exert pressure on the Ethan and Mason families.
Upon waking, Mason discovered his leg immobilized.
He was beside himself.
Ethan sat beside him, saying coldly, “Your leg is fine, saved, but you’ll need extensive rehabilitation. No more motorcycles.”
Mason couldn’t accept this.
He could choose to stop riding, but not be forced to.
When he finally recovered, he tried to drive.
He broke out in cold sweat, the terror of near–death overwhelming him once more.

He couldn’t even drive a regular car, let alone a motorcycle.
He stumbled out of the car, drenched in sweat, pale and shaken.
Ethan helped him, remaining silent.
Mason looked at Ethan.
“Why are you here? Did you give up on Lanie?”
Ethan gazed into the distance, sighing deeply.
“What choice did I have?”
During Mason’s recovery, he’d made many attempts to reach me.
He wrote letters detailing their happy memories, hoping to rekindle those feelings.
He received no reply.
I’d told Zoe everything–my childhood with Ethan and Mason.
There was nothing to hide, nothing to spark jealousy.
There
Ethan had seen my love for Zoe–a love vastly different from what I’d felt for them.
Ethan had no choice but to give up.
No matter how unwilling he was.
Hearing Ethan, Mason felt all hope drain away.
He was now incapacitated, inferior to Ethan, let alone Zoe Jackson.
They returned home in silence, their interactions dwindling.
The three closest friends were silently drifting apart…
Years passed swiftly.
One summer day, I lay in bed, drifting off to sleep.
It was an unusual sleep.
A dizzying sensation overwhelmed me, a powerful force pulling me into a vortex.
I awoke in a strange space, staring at a boundless expanse of stars.
A voice echoed in my ears,
“Welcome, Subject 10017, Shirly, to the Main God Space.”
Memories, spanning countless years, flooded back.
I remembered.
I was a traveler, traversing different timelines, repairing broken worlds, and collecting fragments of the Main God.
A luminous gateway materialized before me–the portal to my next mission.
Without hesitation, I touched the “Begin” button.
The screen glowed, and I was swept into the next world…
This is the end of the story.
Now, let’s go for a new identity, a new story.
