“Bang!”
The door was finally kicked open. Henry rushed in anxiously and patted my face.
I finally came to my senses, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
“I’m here. Don’t be afraid.”
Henry held me tightly as medical staff came to give me an IV.
I walked out of the warehouse, feeling the fresh air and sunlight outside.
Nearby were Simon and Tina, both in handcuffs.
“It’s okay!”
Henry held me tightly, blocking my view.
“It’s all over. We’ve sent them to prison. No one will bother you anymore.”
I nodded and hugged Henry.
A feeling of having survived a great ordeal surrounded me.
Simon and Tina were taken to prison. My stepmother came crying and begging me for a long time before being taken away by my father.
Henry brought in a psychologist to check on me.
Only after confirming everything was normal did he finally relax.
A year later, we decided to hold a grand wedding.
To make up for the regret of me completing the wedding alone before.
“I don’t regret it. My heartfelt declaration moved your dad, and he gave me five million dollars.”
“I don’t regret it. My heartfelt declaration moved your dad, and he gave me five million dollars.”
Henry pinched my face angrily.
“Isn’t marrying me worth five million?”
In the end, we set our wedding on an island.
Henry knelt on one knee and looked at me tenderly.
“Fiona, will you marry me?”
“I do.”
After all, it’s too late to say no at this point.
