On the way home, Julian held my hand tightly, his eyes filled with earnestness. “Aria, don’t worry. If you marry me, I’ll never let you suffer any injustice.”
I couldn’t help but smile, seeing his serious expression.
Suffer injustice?
How could I?
He still thought I didn’t know who he really
was.
The next day, I took Julian to our new home to arrange it, but what I saw
shocked me.
The grand villa, which my Thorne family had paid for, was completely filled with Chloe Miller’s favorite pink Hello Kitty décor.
Even the master bedroom’s accent wall prominently displayed wedding photos of Liam and Chloe.

The butler stammered, “Mr. Sterling insisted he was your fiancé, and said you’d agreed to the décor for the wedding home…”
Just as he finished, Liam called me.
His voice was dripping with smugness. “Our wedding is the day after tomorrow. Don’t be
SO
picky.”
“After we’re married, Chloe and I will sleep in the master bedroom. If you like, you can occasionally join us there.”

I was so furious I hung up the phone immediately, then told the butler to sell the house for me.
Julian smiled. “Leave the new home to me.”
Finally, the wedding day arrived. I stood holding my bouquet, under the envious gazes of relatives and friends, waiting for Julian’s
wedding car.
Just then, Liam suddenly appeared, wearing a suit and a sneer.
Everyone began whispering. “The groom today isn’t from the Sterling family, is he?”
“Not only that, the Thorne family didn’t even send them an invitation. What’s he doing here?”
But Liam acted as if he couldn’t hear them. He walked straight toward me, reaching for my hand.
“Aria, that’s enough,” he said, with an inexplicable confidence in his tone. “My parents might have been fooled by you, but that

doesn’t mean I will be.”
“Though your methods this time were indeed a bit more elaborate, huh…”
“But thankfully, I’ve already calmed Chloe down and stopped her from going to a bar to get drunk.”
I slapped his hand away. “What are you talking about?”
He scoffed. “Still playing innocent? Aren’t you reborn too?”
“Don’t worry, in this life, as long as Chloe is safe, I won’t do anything to you.”
With that, he smugly slipped a cheap ring onto my finger. “Chloe picked this for you. Don’t be ungrateful.”
“After the wedding, you’ll have
to
go thank her first.”

Brandon and Noah also spoke up impatiently. “Aria, take the hint and just go. Hurry up, don’t keep Chloe waiting.”
I sneered, looking around. “Liam Sterling, why do you think I’m so desperate to marry you?”
“I told you,
the man I’m marrying is Julian Vance.”
My parents rushed out of the house. “What’s going on?”
Liam, far from flustered, smiled at them. “Dad, Mom, Aria’s just being difficult, playing a little game with me.”
“I’m here to pick her up, and she’s still acting like this. What will it be like after we’re married?”
I was confused. How was he so bold today, daring to speak like this in front of my parents?
Then Brandon and Noah chuckled. “Uncle and Auntie, don’t you know? The world’s richest man is coming to the city today, and the Sterling family finally managed to schedule a meeting with them.”
