CONFESSED HIS 10

Recently, we often went out to eat, and I would bring him soup made by our housekeeper

His stomach condition hadn’t flared up again

I felt slightly relieved

Tomorrow, tomorrow

The next day, I accompanied my mom to a familiar salon for styling

Mom wanted me to change into a formal dress

I didn’t agree, only choosing a winter skirt and having the stylist coordinate my outfit and hat

Chapter

The car arrived at the Carter house

As soon as I got out, I saw photos of Thomas from childhood to adulthood

But turning my head, I also saw photos of myself

Our families were close, so the Carters having my photos wasn’t strange

But displaying them at Thomas’s birthday party…

I had an ominous feeling

Unfortunately, the comments I saw only mentioned plot points relat

to me, lately obsessed with shipping

When Thomas and Jessica didn’t appear, the comments never mentioned them

I didn’t know if my guess was correct

Mom, I’ll say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Carter and then leave, okay?”

Mom also found the photos of me strange

She knew about Nathan and me

So she nodded: Okay.”

But just as I found Mrs. Carter, Thomas suddenly appeared

I was startled

He had lost a lot of weight

Today he had clearly put effort into his appearance, but still looked unwell

He looked at me with anticipation: Mia, you’re just angry with me, right? I saw your social media post. That spo were picking a birthday gift for me, weren’t you?”

You still like me, don’t you?”

The surroundings gradually quieted

Everyone was looking at Thomas, or rather, at me

I shook my head: No. I asked Mom to help prepare a birthday gift for you too. She already gave it to the housekeeper.”

Thomas, I did like you before, but when I rejected you, I no longer did. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have rejected you.”

His eyes immediately reddened

His lips trembled a few times before he persisted: Then the sports watch?”

I smiled slightly: That’s for someone I like. You know whoNathan James.”

The first time I told Thomas I liked Nathan, I was just using him as a shield

But not anymore

This time, Thomas didn’t shout or make a scene

He probably realized I was sincere

He sat on the rose garden swing I loved as a child and cried, with many people comforting him fit
