Chapter 15
Lacy’s POV
As Nancy and I spoke about the books we have read over the week my discomfort started to dissipate. Talking about books, the characters and their uniqueness, especially on topics that I love made me temporarily forgot about Kol at that moment.
“Damian is the standard guys, and the voice actor for the audio
book made me fell harder. I soaked from listening all night”
Nancy shattered on.
“I would say Luke is better, the perfect husband “I countered.
Talking about books and fantasy worlds with my best friend is
where I’m happiest. When we stopped recording, we’d been on
the phone for over two hours we’d edit later and I felt
refreshed and happy.

I only wished I could tell Nancy the one thing I wanted to tell her
most: that I’d slept with Kol. But even though it was something she jokingly encouraged me to do, I still think she’d be surprised
to find out it actually happened.
She would find it gross that I slept with my own stepbrother?
It was weird, but the discussion about book boyfriends and fictional sex made me less angry with Kol. The more we talked about romance, the more vivid the memories of the night before became, leaving me breathless for a moment.
Goosebumps rose gently on my skin as I thought about the feeling of him inside me, and my heart raced as I remembered the intense, unguarded look he’d given me. The Kol I was with last night was a different, vulnerable, eager Kol, and it was only him with me–until it was over, and then it was over.
Recording tonight’s episode made me see things in a new way. No matter what happened between Kol and I, no matter how
bad it is, it was a love and now I crave his touch like a drug I just
got addicted to. I really needed to see him.
Melina and David went out partying tonight and topped up our
UberEats account to top up dinner, which means they’ll be back
late. I changed into my bathing suit and head to the pool for a
few laps, even though the sun is going down. I knew Kol will be
there, probably with Jim, and sure enough, as I walked into the
garden, I could see them behind the neatly trimmed hedges.
“He dunks well though” that was Jim’s voice, I walked in to see
him wiping water of his face, and combing his hair back with his
fingers.
Jim was in the water while Kol was sitting on the lounge chair.
Chapter 15
They were talking about whatever guys talks about until they
became aware of my presence. It is not my first time being
together with them in a swimsuit, but I was suddenly self-
conscious especially when their eyes roamed my body
shamelessly.
I quickly got into the pool as if to hide myself from their gaze.
When I came up for air, they were both watching me.
“Hi Lacy ” I was surprised at Jim’s warm greeting. This was the
first time I had seen him since I jerked him off in the movie
room and his tone surprised me. It’s friendly, for once.
“Hi Jim” I replied either way.
But what really made me react was the way Kol looked at me
from the pool deck. His eyes were hot and dark, flashing with an
intensity I rarely saw, and I felt my body react to him
immediately.
I turned away from them began to swim around before he found
my face turned red.
I swam a few laps peacefully much to my surprise, they were
back to their discussion before I walked in. I resurfaced to take
a breathe and their eyes were back to me.
Kol still hasn’t said a word to me though, but his hot intense

gaze didn’t diminish making me more uncomfortable. I got out
of the pool to take a rest and sat by the pool, soaking my feet in
the water.
“Want some?” it was Kol. He held up a can of beer towards me.
They had a few cans of beer on the table.
“No, thanks ” I declined. I didn’t expect them to come and take a
seat beside me, plopping their frets into the cool water.
“I have to tell you. You look so hot in this swim suit Lacy” Jim
complimented. I watch Kol take a big swig of his beer before
speaking.
“Leave her alone dude.”
“I’m just saying she looks nice.”
“You’re flirting with my sister” he warned Jim.
“Whatever you say. I can’t lie, I still think about what happened
the last time I was here though, how good she got me” I glanced
between the two of them nervously, why was Jim bringing this
up now?
I hope none of them noticed me clamping my legs together as
heat suddenly rush down my core as that scene flashed across
my mind.

“Will we be trying that again? Or something more?” Jim asked, his eyes glinting with obvious lust.
“Fuck off!” Kol said angrily. We were both turned to him, “What’s
wrong with you?” Jim asked.
“She is my fucking sister, don’t be weird” Kol shot at Jim
angrily. He gulped a mouthful of his beer and slammed the can
down beside him.
I laughed out, earning their full attention. I gave Kol a subtle smirk before speaking.
“I may be your stesister” I copied his usual head tilting and
raised an eyebrow. “But I’m not his stepsister” Jim let out a loud
triumphant laughter.
