Chapter 42
Lacy’s Pov
I couldn’t believe they were out having fun while I was cleaning
my room. It’s not even my party. They were having fun outside,
as if the whole house didn’t look like it had been abandoned and
occupied by squatters.
I glared at my unkempt reflection on the patio’s glass door.
I was still in my sleeping clothes; casual fluffy shorts and an
oversized shirt with no bra. My hair was down and in a mess, in
conclusion, I looked like a servant.
My Mom took appearance very seriously, I wasn’t allowed to
look like this in her presence, but this is her absence and those
freaking idiots have seen me in more ridiculous clothing than
this–even clothless. I pulled my hair into a bun and straightened
my shirt before stroking off to the pool area.
If we were going to be on our own all summer, certain
standards had to be set. I refused to be the only one who
worried about whether the house was clean or not.
As I approached the pool area, a sickening sweet female
laughter reached me.
Chapter 42
My hastened pace came to a sudden pause when I saw who the
female was. Emily was lying on the recliner next to Kol in a sexy
black and gold swimsuit. Her laying posture made her look so
sexy, a sheer contrast to my dirty shorts and shirt.
I looked more like an old cleaning lady ready to nag her young
employers for messing up the house. I thought they were just
being lazy and not wanting to clean but it was worse.
They would rather sit here by the pool and flirt with Emily than
clean up the messy house. My mind wandered off, creating a
disturbing scene of Emily between Kol and Jim. She was
kneeling in front of Jim sucking him off real good while she
stared intently at Kol- just like I did about a year ago.
I shook off the annoying imagination feeling as if a hard rock
was placed on my chest at the mere thought of that scene. I
was already jealous of Emily even though my thoughts hadn’t happened yet that I could hardly breathe.
“Oh, hi Lacy”
Jim sighted me and greeted me cheerfully. I muttered a reply,
feeling Kole’s gaze. He had a small frown on his face with an
inscrutable expression. My eyes skipped over him to the
surroundings, it wasn’t any better than the living room and the
patio which I had just finished cleaning.
Chapter 42
More empty cans, bottles, and towels piled up into a garbage
mountain. My lips curled up in disdain but I couldn’t find the
right moment to start nagging.
“Do you want a drink?” Jim asked, holding out a can of beer he
just opened to me.
I shook my head, the idea of drinking anything making my head throb, and my gaze dropped briefly down his body.
His wet shirt accentuated his lean waist and a vague outline of
his dick. His narrow waist was in contrast with his broad
shoulders and chest, my cheeks warmed at my straying
thoughts.
“Uhm…We need to clean up the yard, especially the front area, or
the neighbors might call David to complain ” I said to Kol. My
heart hammered against my chest as I spoke, waiting for his
reply.
“Like he would care” was his dismissive reply. He didn’t even
spare me a single glance as he spoke those words in disdain.
“Pitt!” Emily snickered further, riling me up. My throat felt
choked and painful, I swallowed down the pain with a straight
and tried to maintain a calm demeanor.
“Sit down and hang a minute,” said Jim. “Then I’ll go clean it up.”
Chapter 42
“Don’t fucking clean it up,” interjected Kol, with a bite in his tone.
“Leave it.”
I forcefully swallowed down again and turned to leave, standing
there made me look like a fool, a dirty fool.
Jim turned to look at Kol, who looked up at his friend and then
turned to me.
“Sit down and have a drink, Lacy, and just fucking relax for
once.”
I stared back at him, carefully keeping my face neutral. Kol
always had to have the final say, always had to be in charge. He
was contrary just for the sake of it.
