“Is it Dawn?” Mia snapped impatiently. She grumbled, “Didn’t you say that you already spoke to her? Why is she still pestering you?”
Samuel ignored her and answered the call. “What is it?”
“Mr. Gardner, please go online!”
When Mia heard the voice, she could immediately tell that it was Jack.
She chuckled awkwardly, since she had expected it to be Dawn who was interrupting their date.
Samuel quickly logged in to Twitter to check the trending tags, and he saw the marriage certificate, along with the tag # SamuelGardnerwasmarried.
For some reason, he did not seem to feel angry. Instead, he felt relieved.
Mia saw every bit of Samuel’s reaction, and she bit down on her lip as she looked at him indignantly.
“Where’s Dawn? Tell her to delete the post.” When he spoke next, Samuel’s voice had regained its usual aloofness.

“I couldn’t contact her, that’s why I had to call you.”
Samuel panicked, and he instinctively raised his voice. “What do you mean you can’t contact her?”
“She won’t answer her phone.”
Samuel thought that Dawn was pulling one of her tricks again. He grabbed his jacket and got up. “Got it.”
Once he hung up, he looked at Mia. “Something came up. Enjoy your dinner.”
He then left without hesitation.
He did not notice the indignant and vicious look in Mia’s eyes.
Samuel felt oddly happy on the way home.
