Chapter68
“I didn’t know why it broke either, Britney just checked the
cameras and said the only people who touched the dress were
me, Katheryn, and Britney.”
“Tomorrow was the celebration dinner, but my dress broke at
this exact moment. What a coincidence.”
Rodrick told Bianca to give the phone to Britney.
Bianca was a bit reluctant, but she still did it.
Britney took it and saw the note on it.
Kiss kiss, Rod.
An intimacy that was hard to describe.
It was something she couldn’t do even after seven years.
Was this the power of a first love?
Britney didn’t have time to make fun of herself, since Rodrick
was still waiting on the other end of the phone.
“Mr. Livingston, this is Britney.” She answered calmly.
Chapter68
“Did you do it?”
No beating around the bush, no asking, just a firm question.
Britney suddenly felt like she was dropped into an ice cellar, her
chest covered with thick snow and ice, so cold that her arms and
legs shook.
She could accept his betrayal, accept his falling out of love.
I could even accept going separate ways with him.
But she couldn’t handle doubt or being looked down on!
After seven years together, she thought he’d at least know what
kind of person she was, know that Britney wasn’t the type to
play those little catfight mind games between women.
It took days and nights for people to build relationships, but it
only took a second to reset everything.
Britney took a deep breath before she answered Rodrick’s
question, “It wasn’t me.”
“Bianca said only you and Katheryn had handled the dress,
Katheryn didn’t have the guts.”
“When did Mr. Livingston start judging right and wrong based
on his own opinions?” Britney said, her tone a bit sharp.

)
Rodrick probably didn’t expect her to talk back like that, and he
was quiet for a moment.
Britney gave Bianca a cold look, “Call the police! Right and
wrong, let the cops decide!”
“Britney, did you know how much calling the cops would affect
the company?” Rodrick changed his face right away.
Britney knew.
But what did it have to do with her?
This wasn’t the Royarch Capital she cared about anymore, so
there was no reason to make her sacrifice again!
So she was really firm, “I just wanted a clean record.”
It was probably the first time I saw Britney so determined, and
Rodrick actually fell silent.
The atmosphere was tense.
Britney gave the phone back to Bianca.
She didn’t think about getting Rodrick’s permission, and she
didn’t expect him to take her side at this point.
She could only save herself.
Chapter68
So Britney didn’t hesitate to call the police.
Bianca’s face changed. “Rod, she called the police. You’d better
come back now!””
Rodrick and the cops showed up at almost the same time.
Probably worried that Bianca would feel wronged, so came
over specially from outside.
Britney told the police the truth about what happened and
asked them to help find out what really happened and clear her
name.
Because there was no surveillance inside the storage room, the police suggested doing a technical appraisal.
Stuff like fingerprint comparison, even though it was a bit troublesome, could accurately identify the “real culprit.”
But this way, I needed the owner’s permission for the formal
wear.
In the end, Rodrick still had to nod.
Bianca subconsciously moved closer to Rodrick, “Rod, this could be a big deal or a small one, but we still had to put the company’s interests first.”
Chapter68
Rodrick’s face looked icy. After glancing around, he looked at
Britney.
