“That’s why people said Mr. Livingston had good taste. The secretary by his side was not only pretty but also really capable. If I had someone like Britney helping me out, I probably could’ve done even bigger business than Mr. Livingston!”
“Mr. Colton thought too highly of me, I was just a little
secretary, that’s all. Mr. Livingston got where he was by working hard himself.”
“Britney, you’re way too modest! Who doesn’t know that half of Royarch Capital’s profits these years were thanks to you? Just being a secretary is really selling you short.” Mr. Colton said as he moved closer to Britney.
Britney took the chance while serving drinks to dodge again, “Mr. Colton, cheers to you.”
On the other side, Bianca noticed what was going on with Britney and asked Iris next to her, “Who was the one talking to Britney?”
After looking, Iris said, “That’s Mr. Colton from Nexus Capital. Nexus Capital was pretty impressive these past few years. Not as good as Royarch Capital, but not far off.”

After hearing that, Bianca immediately walked over to the two.
Britney just brought Mr. Colton’s topic back to the project.
Mr. Colton was really interested after hearing that, “I’ve heard.
about this game project you mentioned, but I never got the
chance to meet the person in charge. If you don’t mind, Britney,
could you introduce me? We can all make some money
together!”
Britney didn’t get a chance to answer Mr. Colton before Bianca
cut in, “Hi, Mr. Colton, I’m Bianca, Director of Investment
Division III at Royarch Capital. You can talk to me about the
project.”
Mr. Colton didn’t know Bianca, but when he saw she was
pretty, he immediately smiled and said, “Royarch Capital has such a beautiful investment director like Ms. Webster? How
come I didn’t know?”
“I just started this job not long ago.” Bianca flipped her hair and told Britney, “Britney, go get me a drink.”
Instead of saying giving instructions, it was more like ordering Britney around, treating Britney like a little errand girl.
Britney didn’t argue with her. While handing over the drink, she lowered her voice and reminded Bianca, “This Mr. Colton

has some issues with his character, be careful.”
But Bianca thought she was just afraid that she’d steal her
connections, so she said that on purpose.
She took the drink, clinked glasses with Mr. Colton, and said,
“Mr. Colton, about the project, you can just talk to me. Britney is only handling secretary work now and doesn’t have the
authority to get involved in project stuff.”
This was just throwing shade…
Britney really kind of wanted to roll her eyes.
Anyway, all the reminders had been given, and Bianca was an adult with her own judgment, so she went off to do her own thing.
Not long after Britney left, Mr. Colton took Bianca away, saying he wanted to talk about the project.
After Rodrick sobered up and came back, Edward found him
and asked if he had seen Bianca, saying he hadn’t seen her for a while.
Rodrick looked around but didn’t see Bianca at the party, so he asked Iris nearby.

Iris said, “Mr. Livingston, you should go ask Britney. Britney
should know where Ms. Webster was.”
Rodrick found Britney and started off in a questioning tone,
“Britney, where’s Bianca?”
Rodrick sounded and looked really anxious, after all, it was
someone he cared about.
Britney just didn’t get it. How could not seeing Bianca for just a
little while make him worry like this?
“Say something! Where is she?” Rodrick was already starting to
sound impatient.
