Seven years was really too long, long enough to see with my
own eyes how people’s hearts could change, long enough for
Rodrick to start getting tired…
Britney pressed her lips together and slowly got teary–eyed.
Stood there for a long time to calm down, then slowly let out a
deep breath from my lungs.
Federico still had other guests to entertain, so he couldn’t take
Britney home himself. He told the driver to take her.
And told them to make sure to get the person home safely!
Before leaving, he even put his own jacket on Britney, afraid
she might get cold.
While waiting for the driver to get the car, she saw Rodrick’s car
drive right past her.
The car was bright. Bianca was looking at Rodrick with stars in
her eyes, happily saying something.
Rodrick lowered his eyes a bit, and there was a rare gentle look
on his face in profile.

The car was going fast, and the cold wind blew on Britney’s face.
That really woke me up!
She pulled her coat tighter around her and thought to herself, sometimes a man wasn’t even as good as a piece of clothing.
At least on winter nights like this, her clothes could still help keep out the cold.
Red wine hit hard, and Britney felt a bit dizzy when she got home.
I messed around at the door for a long time before I finally got it
open.
Luckily, she still remembered to bring the key, otherwise she might not have been able to get home.
It was all Rodrick’s fault. If it hadn’t been for him, she wouldn’t have changed the lock, and now she had to take the key every time she went out. Such a hassle.
Drinking too much always made my mouth dry, and there just wasn’t any water left in the fridge.
Britney liked to drink some ice water to quench her thirst after drinking alcohol, but there wasn’t any water in the fridge, so

she had to order delivery.
After I placed the order, I waited for about ten minutes, and
then the doorbell rang.
It was delivered pretty fast.
Britney didn’t suspect anything and just went over to open the
door.
But it turned out the person wasn’t a delivery guy, it was
Rodrick!
Britney almost reacted on instinct and shut the door right away.
But Rodrick stuck his leg out and blocked the door first.
Rodrick’s chest rose and fell gently in the dim yellow light of the
voice–activated lamp.
Britney, that thing you said, you didn’t finish.
The man grabbed her chin and kissed her, not very gently.
She tasted alcohol in his mouth.
I guess I blocked drinks for Bianca at the party again.
This made Britney really uncomfortable.

She raised her hand and slapped Rodrick in the face.
That was a really crisp slap.
Unfortunately, she had been drinking, so she couldn’t use any
strength and didn’t manage to wake up Rodrick. Instead, it just
stirred up his animal nature.
Rodrick had always been pushy about this kind of thing,
especially when he made a move while Britney was drunk.
She was clearly overwhelmed, and when he threw her onto the
bed, her mind went completely blank.
Rodrick didn’t give her any chance to catch her breath, and just
pinned her down right away.
Tonight, Rodrick was clearly different from before again.
Britney didn’t put up a fearless fight, she grabbed his chin and
bit down hard.
She didn’t let go of her bite until she heard his muffled groan.
It was like a tug–of–war…
