“You’ll be crying in a bit!”
He still thought Britney was just pretending to be calm, but
actually she was freaking out inside.
“Edward, why were you always picking on Britney?” Bianca
sounded like she was standing up for Britney, but it was kind of
fake.
At least, she still knew how to fake it.
Rodrick always ignored it.
Edward used to mock her a lot, and Rodrick never said
anything.
He saw it, but still chose to ignore it.
Looking back, he just didn’t care about her embarrassment
anymore.
While I was spacing out, the resignation letter was already
printed.
Britney took out her resignation letter and went over it in

advance, afraid there might be some mistakes that could delay
her resignation process.
To be honest, she didn’t want to stay here for even one more

After making sure everything was right, Britney just walked
straight to Rodrick.
“What are you doing?” Edward reflexively tried to block her.
“Mr. Livingston, this is my resignation letter, please approve it.”
Britney handed in her resignation letter.
Rodrick looked at her, his eyes cold and distant, no emotion, no
warmth.
Edward looked unsure. He took the resignation letter from her
hand and kept looking at it, always feeling like Britney was
acting.
Bianca also glanced at that resignation letter, just like the stack
Rodrick had put in the drawer before.
“It’s a real resignation letter! Rodrick, sign it right now!” Edward

was even more anxious than Britney, like he was afraid she
might change her mind.
Rodrick refused, his voice even colder than his face, “Just go to
HR and get it done.”
The man finished talking, skipped Britney, and went straight
into the office.
An attitude like I didn’t want to have anything to do with Britney anymore.
The reaction and attitude left the other two shocked.
Britney didn’t care either, took the report from Edward, and went straight to HR.
“Fake, right?” Edward still thought Britney was acting.
Bianca followed Rodrick into the office, “Rod, you really let Britney go?”
“What’s there to miss? Just a secretary!” Rodrick sounded indifferent.
Bianca stared at him for a few more seconds.
Seemed to want to figure something out from his face.

The day before yesterday, when Rodrick went to the hospital to
pick up his mom, Bianca noticed the hickey on his neck.
This discovery made her really unhappy.
But she knew very well that questioning the man at this
moment would only make him annoyed with her, so she could
only pretend she didn’t know anything.
But I still felt a strong sense of crisis inside.
She wanted to know who that woman was who left those
hickeys on Rodrick’s neck?
Was it Britney?
If that was the case, then why did Rodrick just let Britney go so
easily?

just a secretary, her status and influence were way beyond.

He said, “Just handle everything according to the company’s
rules.”

she specially emphasized, “Mr. Livingston, it’s Britney. Britney is
