Rhonda just happily went to pick a restaurant.
Britney waited for about half an hour, and then HR came back.
Their expression had clearly changed.
Britney suddenly felt a jolt in her heart, and a bad feeling came
over her.
“Sorry, Ms. Harrington, Mr. Thornecroft didn’t approve.” HR
handed the resume back to Britney and apologized again, “Sorry
for wasting your time.”
Britney took the resume pretty calmly.
Even though she felt pretty down, this wasn’t the first time
she’d been through something like this,
And after going through it many times, it wasn’t that hard to
accept.
“I wanted to know, what was the reason Mr. Thornecroft didn’t
pass? Is it convenient to tell me?” Britney asked humbly.
HR shook their head, “I don’t know either.”

Britney didn’t want to make things hard for the other person, so
she just said thanks and left.
While waiting for the elevator in the elevator lobby, Rhonda
picked a restaurant.
Britney replied and said okay.
When the elevator doors opened, there were footsteps and
voices behind me.
So familiar it made Britney’s back go cold.
Unfortunately.
It was Rodrick, and Bianca.
Rodrick really took Bianca with him everywhere.
“Mr. Livingston, you were too kind. I really didn’t expect that
Mr. Livingston would come in person to talk about such an
expansion project. I was really flattered!”
Rodrick said, “This was a project Ms. Webster was in charge of.
She just got back from abroad and wasn’t very familiar with the
capital in Riverton. With me around, she could feel more at
ease.””
Mr. Thornecroft got what Rodrick meant right away, “So Mr.

Livingston was here to back up Ms. Webster.”
Bianca smiled gently. Her tone sounded helpless, but mostly she
was just showing off her love.
“Rod was just too worried about me. Actually, I could handle it
myself, but he just couldn’t relax. He insisted on coming with
me, so I had no choice.”
Even though Britney had her back to them, she was still
overwhelmed by the flood of sweetness from the two.
The resume was crumpled up in my hand, and those emotions
that had been hidden deep inside suddenly burst out at this
moment.
Britney turned around and looked at the others.
“Ms. Harrington, why are you still here?” Mr. Thornecroft
recognized Britney.
After all, he had just looked at her resume ten minutes ago.
But he didn’t expect Britney herself to be even prettier and
more outstanding than her resume, so he was surprised, but
also felt a bit regretful, thinking he shouldn’t have turned her
down so soon.

know why you turned down my job application?”

“Was it because your company found out something during the
background check, so you rejected my job application?”
“This…” Silvan was sweating all over.
“Since Mr. Livingston was here, if Mr. Thornecroft had anything
unclear, he might as well just ask Mr. Livingston directly. I also
wanted to know how Mr. Livingston would answer.” Britney
