Chapter 2
In the bedroom.
Jocelynn came out of the shower and saw Trevor looking at his phone with gentle eyes, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Without thinking much, Jocelynn knew who he was chatting with.
She withdrew her gaze and glanced at the date on her phone, which was “June 15th“, then turned to lie down and closed her eyes.
Trevor, however, leaned in and said, “Jocelynn, the past few days were too busy in the lab, I didn’t bring my phone so I didn’t receive your call. Did something happen?”
Jocelynn’s voice sounded tired, “It’s okay, everything has already been taken care of.”
Trevor embraced her sideways.
“I will try to keep my phone with me in the future, so I won’t be out of touch again.”
Jocelynn’s body stiffened, and she instinctively brushed away his hand.
“Go to sleep.”
Jocelynn muttered in silence, unwilling to speak any further.
But in her heart, she was silently telling that man
Trevor, we had no future anymore.
Late at night, the man’s breath came shallowly, but Jocelynn still had no sleepiness.
I didn’t sleep all night.
The next morning, Jocelynn looked at her phone’s schedule reminder after preparing breakfast.
Today was the fourth anniversary of her relationship with Trevor, and they had planned to celebrate it at Woodpond Amusement Park six months ago.
Jocelynn decided to break up with him there, putting an end to their four years of youth.
At the dining table, Trevor was eating breakfast while looking at his phone.
Seeing him slow and only concerned with sending messages, Jocelynn couldn’t help but speak up, “You can reply to the messages later, let’s have a good meal first, we still have to catch a plane later.”
Trevor absentmindedly asked, “Catch a flight? Where are you going today?”
Jocelynn’s breath hitched, and it took her a moment to realize that she had forgotten about the date at Woodpond Amusement Park and also forgotten that today was their anniversary.
She found it ridiculous when she thought about how she had planned for both of them to part ways amicably.
She tugged at the corner of her mouth and changed her words, saying, “It’s nothing, I have a classmate who is going on a trip, I’m going
to see her off.”
Sure enough, Trevor didn’t ask any more questions.
At that moment, his phone screen lit up.
Jocelynn subconsciously glanced at the screen and saw a message from “Sailor Moon“.
“I was so hungry, why hadn’t my breakfast arrived yet!”
Trevor quickly grabbed his phone stood up, took two pancakes from the table, and glanced at Jocelynn.

“My mentor had something to discuss with me, so I went to the laboratory first.”
Watching the man’s hurried departure, Jocelynn silently smiled.
Even when it comes to lying, he is so perfunctory. He really can’t wait.
Jocelynn picked up her phone and canceled the couple’s Amusement Park tickets that had been booked several months ago.
Instagram, as soon as she clicked on it, she saw Miranda’s new update.
“I said I was hungry, and Crush immediately appeared downstairs at my house with breakfast he made himself.”
Jocelynn’s breath hitched, and a chill ran through her heart.
Did he make it himself?
Ridiculous!
She lost her appetite and got up to throw all the remaining breakfast on the table into the trash can.
Throw away everything, including the little bit of feeling left for Trevor in the end.
