Chapter 19: Aurora is Pregnant
Heath was sitting in the back seat of the car, and Kieran could feel the temperature inside the vehicle drop several degrees. Something was off.
Just a couple of days ago, Aurora was getting along well with their CEO, What had happened today to cause a quarrel?
Heath rubbed his temples, suddenly recalling Aurora’s repeated phrase, “you don’t have to worry about me.” For some reason, it reminded him of Olivia’s words from behind the screen, “It’s a private grudge, you don’t have to worry about me.”

“We missed the opportunity at the internet café
afe that d
day, and there’s been no news since,” Kieran replied.
Heath looked out the window, thinking of the internet café. Aurora had been there that day too.
He felt he was becoming obsessed. Aurora was just a powerless high school student, while Olivia was a fearsome ace assassin. How could they be related?
“Sir, Mrs. Song’s birthday is in a few days, and they’ve

it you an invitation,” Kieran said.
“I’m not going.” Heath coldly refused.
“The Pendleton family also r received an invitation; they’ll probably attend,‘ Kieran reminded him.
“You got nothing better to do than keep tabs on the Pendleton family?” Heath shot him a sidelong glance.
“No way, I’m swamped! Still on the hunt for Olivia, Kieran quickly replied.
He didn’t want the boss to send him off to Africa in a fit of displeasure.
Meanwhile, Aurora was taking a stroll in the garden when she overheard two servants whispering about something.
She approached and eavesdropped from around the corner, hearing one servant say, “Did you hear? Aurora is pregnant!”
Who? She’s pregnant?
“Yes, I heard. She got into trouble fooling around outside!” the other servant replied.
“But sh
she looks really pretty now that she’s lost weight. I think she’s prettier th
than all the other heiresses!”
“What’s the use of being pretty if her character is bad? No one taught her properly when she was young,” the servant Mrs. Harris said.
“What are you talking about?” The two servants were so engrossed in their gossip that they didn’t notice someone approaching.
Aurora turned to see a new maid who hadn’t been there long-
“You impudent girl, what business is it of yours what we say?” The two servants were old hands in the Pendleton family and naturally looked down on this new girl.
“You still shouldn’t talk about the masters like that. Aurora just came of age; how can she bear such

‘s rumors and slander? If she doesn ́t behave herself, why should she lear others talking?” one servant retorted.
“You re going too far! I’m going to tell the master!” the young maid said.
Harris dropped her broom and slapped the young muid, nearly knocking her over with the force.
“You wretched girl, you’ve only been in the Pendleton family for a few days, and you dare talk to us like that?” Harris raged.

“And how long have you been in the Pendleton family that you dare gossip about me behind my back? Aurora emerged from her hiding place, her voice sharp.
“Miss Aurora, we were just chatting. Besides, we’ve served the Pendleton family for so many years. We can say what we want, and the madam won’t blame us,” Harris said, her tone mocking.
In their eyes, Aurora was nothing but a neglected, fallen daughter. They had never taken her seriously in all these years.
“Heh, you can say what you want, can you?” Aurora walked over with a bright smile and suddenly slapped Harris across the face.
Her daily exercise had given her considerable strength, and Harris’s face immediately swelled.
She, clutched her face, looking at Aurora in disbelief. “You… you…”
“What about me? Do you still think I’m the Aurora who used to swallow her pride? I’ll tell you, I’m the legitimate heiress of the Pendleton family. your master. If you don’t know how to be a good servant, I can teach you myself!” Aurora declared forcefully.
Harris was so frightened that she stood frozen, unable to speak. Was this the same girl who used to be bullied?
Do you understand your mistake? Or do I need to teach you again?” Aurora asked coldly.
“We get it, we get it, Miss Aurora. We were way out of line,” the two servants quickly said, their voices trembling at the thought of being slapped again.
“Get out of my sight! If I catch you gossiping again, you’ll be out of the Pendleton family for good!” Aurora commanded, her voice icy.
The two servants grabbed their brooms and scurried away, their faces pale and their shoulders slumped, utterly defeated.
