Chapter 19
Their first stop was Taormina, Italy.
This was a place Celia had always wanted to visit ever since watching the film “Malena” about the beauty of Sicily. She’d originally planned to go for her graduation trip, but then came the accident, five years in a coma, and the plan was shelved.
Now she was finally fulfilling that college dream.
Taormina was a beautiful Italian island, famous for its stunning scenery and heart–shaped coastline.
Upon arriving in Taormina, the town’s vibrancy and liveliness hit them immediately.
Tourists bustled along the streets, and the air was filled with the aroma of delicious food.
Celia and Aurelian walked hand in hand through the medieval streets, the cobblestone paths beneath their feet seeming to tell ancient stories.
Mases stood in picturesque arrangements, glowing warmly in the sunlight.
On both sides of the road, charming yellow
She’d stop frequently to admire the little shops along the way, enchanted by the exquisite handicrafts and local specialties.
Following the street upward, they reached the town’s heights.
Standing there, she looked out over the entire town and magnificent seascape, feeling an indescribable sense of awe.
In the distance, the famous Isola Bella lay quietly in Taormina Bay like a brilliant pearl.
The Ionian Sea sparkled where it met the sky, complementing the blue heavens and white clouds in breathtaking beauty.
Celia closed her eyes, feeling the salty sea breeze caress her face, as if all her troubles were being carried away by that wind.
“Aurelian, will you stay with me like this for the rest of our lives?”
Aurelian removed his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. “Of course. I’ll only ever love you in this lifetime.”
Hearing his answer, Celia smiled softly.
“Did you ever have feelings for Raya?”
Aurelian froze for a moment, then finally spoke. “You heard everything outside the reception room that day?”
Celia looked out at the distant ocean and nodded.
Aurelian didn’t know how to answer this question. He had indeed loved Raya once.
there
She and Celia were completely different types of people. Celia was resilient and stubborn, with strong convictions about the things she believed in.
Raya also expressed her love directly–if Celia’s love was like lovers‘ whispers, then Raya’s love was like fireworks exploding across the sky.
Aurelian had indeed been attracted to her, had indeed been moved by her. In his past life, that was exactly why he’d hurt Celia so many times.
From his silence, Celia seemed to already know the answer.
After a long pause, she spoke almost inaudibly. “It’s okay. As long as you love me now, that’s enough.”
Aurelian breathed a huge sigh of relief and kissed her lips directly.

Chapter 19
The passionate kiss spoke of love, but also of regret for his past life.
“Celia, I love you.”
“I swear on my life that I’ll love you forever.”
That afternoon, they visited the ancient Greek theater with its 2,300–year history.
This theater, built on a clifftop, looked like a nest suspended between sea and sky.
Walking into the theater and sitting in the ancient seats, with the wind blowing, they could almost hear voices from a thousand years ago.
Standing at the theater’s heights, the foreground showed the weathered ancient ruins, the middle ground revealed the medieval town halfway up mountain with its ancient castle, and the distant view showcased the sea below and volcanoes beyond.
They sat quietly, immersed in this magnificent scenery, imagining the spectacular performances that had once taken place here millennia ago.
Sunlight scattered across the beach, making the white sand shimmer with golden light.
Celia took off her shoes and walked barefoot on the beach, feeling the fine sand slip between her toes.
Aurelian carried her shoes for her while carefully supporting her with one hand, reminding her to watch for shells and stones underfoot.
By the seaside, many people were sunbathing, swimming, and surfing, their faces glowing with happy smiles.
The two of them traveled at their own pace, staying longer in cities they loved, and when they grew restless, embarking on new journeys.
Two months passed quickly. Work had piled up at Aurelian’s company, and Celia’s readers were urging her to start drawing new comics, so they reluctantly returned from their travels.
