Chapter 19
As for love, it had long since faded, worn down by the years.
But Jenna still clung to hope, convinced that one day Allan would propose to her.
However, each day of waiting only brought more betrayal.
Each time, she forgave him, only for her heart to break again.
At twenty–seven, she found herself in an awkward position–after losing Allan, she wasn’t sure if she could even begin again.
The silence in the car was soon filled by her soft sobs. Bianca felt deeply for her but simply said in a calm tone, “It’s time to let go.”
Jenna kept her hand over her face, bitterness in her voice. “Bianca, I can’t. I’ve given him everything.”
Bianca, unable to hold back any longer, leaned forward and gently moved Jenna’s hand away from her face. Her tone now carried a hint of frustration. “I’ve moved on. What’s stopping you?”
Jenna turned to face her, gazing into her eyes for a long moment before replying, “I don’t believe you’ve moved on.”
Bianca nodded, her voice sincere. “I have.”
Jenna saw the determination in her eyes. It wasn’t fake. She couldn’t bear to meet her gaze any longer, instinctively turning her face away. “But I can’t let go. I’ve given him half my life.”

As she spoke, tears began rolling down her cheeks.
Bianca looked at her for a long time before sighing deeply. “I’m not going to keep trying to convince you. When you’ve hit the wall enough times, you’ll turn back.”
At least, that was how it was for her.
At the time, her parents had begged her not to jump into the fire, but she still used the threat of cutting ties with them to force their hand.
So when you hadn’t figured things out for yourself, everything others said just sounded like empty words.
Jenna cried for a long time, repeatedly calling Allan. When he didn’t. pick up, she kept calling until he finally blocked her. Then, she called him from Bianca’s phone….
Back and forth, she kept trying for almost half an hour until Allan finally answered.
Before she could say anything, he started yelling at her. “Jenna, are you done yet? Don’t you need sleep? Do I have to wear a GPS for you to be happy?”
“Allan, I just-”
Before she could even finish, Allan impatiently interrupted, “I don’t have anything to say to you. I’m going to sleep. Goodbye.”
And with that, he hung up.
Jenna frantically dialed again, but this time, the line was dead.
Her phone screen quickly filled with tears.

Bianca watched quietly, remembering how she had once been in the same place. Honestly, it was all so pointless.
She held Jenna’s hand, silently offering her support, but not saying a word.
The next morning, at 5 AM, Bianca was up early. She went to the market to buy ingredients for the evening’s dinner.
She spent most of the day in the kitchen. It was the weekend, so Kellie didn’t have school and helped her out by peeling garlic and chopping
onions.
Elroy and Laurence went to the office, Lynette, a model, went to shoot for next year’s spring collection, and Margie went out to buy a cake for Laurence.
By the time evening came, Bianca had prepared a feast.
Steamed, braised, stir–fried, roasted, and cold dishes–she had everything covered.
When the family gathered around the table, they were all impressed by her cooking.
Elroy took a look at all the dishes but couldn’t help himself from glancing at Bianca. She was wearing an apron, no makeup, looking nothing like the pampered young lady she once was.
It made him think back to the days when she was treated like a princess by the whole family. Now…
As she was married into the Avery family, he wondered what kind of life she was really living.
