Chapter 14
“Mr. Swanton, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault, but I did all this for our future!”
“If I hadn’t done that, Eileen wouldn’t have divorced you, Archie wouldn’t have accepted me as his mother, and our family would never have come together! She sobbed hysterically, clutching Julius‘ pant leg tightly, her eyes filled with pleading for the man.”
But what she didn’t know was that this man didn’t love her at all.
Keeping her by his side was only to satisfy his own ridiculous vanity.
Julius coldly pushed away her hand and said in a calm tone, “Paula, you are really too greedy.”
“Leaving you with the Swanton family, so you could see Archie and me every day, was already the greatest gift to you.
“But you not only do not appreciate it, but also want to replace Eileen?”
“What were you? And what was Eileen?”
“She was the young lady of the Greymoor family, while you were just a wild girl from the mountains. What qualifications do you have to compare with her?”
As Julius kept belittling her, Paula’s eyes gradually dimmed.
Before, she was also the pride of her parents, the hope of her teachers, the role model for her classmates, and the top graduate of NYU.
How did she become so worthless in Julius’s eyes?
Chapter 14
Isn’t all of this his fault?
It was him who seduced her, it was him who made her a third party, it was him who ruined his own life, and in the end, he still came to belittle her!
At the thought of this, Paula was extremely angry.
She raised her eyes and looked at Julius coldly, with a look of despair in her
eyes. “So I am worthless in Mr. Swanton’s eyes. If that’s the case, why did Mr. Swanton approach me in the first place, and why did he let me give birth to Archie?”
“Now, I have finally become the rat in the gutter as you wished, and yet you still come to despise me?”
“Little did I know, you were actually just like me, the most disgusting person in the world!”
“I was the mistress who seduced a married man, and you were the scumbag who kept a mistress hidden from his wife. Who is more noble than the other?”
“What nonsense are you talking about? Upon hearing this, Julius instantly became angry. He took a big step forward, wanting to strangle Paula again, but she cleverly dodged him.”
The next second, a large vase came crashing towards him.
The vase exploded on Julius’s head, mixing shards of celadon with murky blood splattering both of them.
Julius stared at Paula in disbelief.
He hesitated for half a second, then anger flashed in his eyes and he reached out to grab Paula.
Chapter 14
Before he could catch it, another vase came flying towards him.
Julius finally lost his last bit of strength, gave Paula a glare, and then fell straight down.
The back hit the floor, and hundreds of pieces of broken porcelain instantly pierced into the body.
Julius screamed and then collapsed into a pool of blood the next second.
When he woke up again, Julius had been admitted to the ICU.
Standing beside me were the butler, assistant, and Archie, but Paula was not there.
He subconsciously shifted his body, but it caused every limb and bone to ache.
Seeing this, Archie suddenly pounced on him, “Dad, Dad, what’s wrong with you?”
The child cried hoarsely, and Julius’s heart ached along with it.
He moved his fingers to signal the butler to take the child out, then turned to the assistant and said, word by word,
“Where is Paula? Where is she now? Tell her to come see me
The assistant hesitated for a moment before finally stammering out, “Ms. Wolcott, oh no, that woman, she ran away on the night of the incident…”
