Chapter 19
Braeden watched as the helicopter carrying Angela flew away.
His own helicopter was parked on the lawn.
He didn’t move for a long time.
Pain filled his red eyes.

Angela’s last words–she felt that no explanation mattered anymore.
In her weak tone, there was nothing but deep disappointment and resolute determination toward him.
He had hurt Angela so deeply, yet Angela hadn’t said a single word.
And the deepest revenge she gave him was to disappear completely from his world!
Braeden fell ill, collapsing hard.
He was sent to the hospital.
After three days and nights of emergency treatment, he finally survived.
Only one person came to see him.
Malcolm.
He said, “Bray, the bridal shop where you and Valerie held your wedding, it’s Angela’s.”
Braeden was utterly devastated.

Chapter 19
Braeden pulled the needle out of the back of his hand.
Blood kept flowing.
Like a madman, he rushed to the bridal shop.
The bridal shop was still open for business.
The owner was full of surprise when he saw him.
“Mr. Hernandez.”
Braeden said, “This place, it’s Angela’s.”
But the owner replied, “It’s mine now. Ms. Taylor sold it to me.”
The owner went inside and brought out a bridal gown catalog for Braeden.

“All of these wedding dresses were personally designed by Ms. Taylor. You might want to take a look.”
With trembling hands, Braeden opened the first page.
The pure white wedding dress was stunning, and beside it was a short
note.
“He said I was like a jellyfish in the ocean, cute but poisonous. He also said my dimples were beautiful when I smiled. And I wanted to design a jellyfish–like wedding dress for him.”
The inspiration for the dress blended the qualities of a jellyfish- translucent, beautiful, and even more voluminous.
Braeden turned page after page; every wedding dress had a note, and every note was about him.

“He made me angry today, said I was spoiled for refusing to eat chocolate. I want to design a black wedding dress for him, covered in chocolate from head to toe, so sweet it would kill him.‘
“He said my skin was too fair, that it turned red with a pinch, and he forbade me from showing my collarbones. Fine, fine, today’s wedding dress must be lace, wrapped from head to toe.”
Then he turned to the wedding dress that Valerie had worn.
“First love, this was the first time he kissed me. I wanted to design it, and he happened to be eating strawberry candy. I wanted to preserve this memory.”
The dress was adorned with many rhinestones, representing the dots of strawberry, and the whole gown was filled with a touch of innocence.
Braeden’s tears fell onto the sketches of these wedding dresses.
It turned out Angela had always loved him in her own way, recording every little moment between them.
Braeden sat in the bridal shop from morning to afternoon, then into the night, and even into the next day.
He bought the bridal shop.
He saw every wedding dress Angela had designed.
This was a girl’s dream, but also a girl’s deep love for him.
Angela, I’m sorry. I ignored you!
Valerie had known from the beginning that the bridal shop belonged to Angela. That’s why she brought him there, saying at first that it was small, the dresses were a niche brand, beautiful, and not too expensive.

Chapter 19
He had admired Valerie’s frugality, but in the end, he had wounded Angela beyond repair.
“Valerie, you are truly cruel!”
Valerie held his hand, stabbing Angela’s heart with every word.
Every single thing was the most painful for Angela!

He destroyed Valerie completely, even sent her to prison, tormenting her.
But he would rather Angela come back and torment him; he was willing to pay any price.
Braeden searched for Angela for five years, traveling all over foreign countries.
He finally got news of her–it was the front–page headline in his home
country.
“The Taylor family’s heiress and the Xandros Group’s CEO Shane will hold their wedding in three days at the Xandros Group’s seven–star hotel.”
