chapter247
She spun around while scrambling to pull the towel back up, managing only to shield her torso.
When she saw who stood there, Bianca froze, stunned.
“Elvin?”

Elvin stared at her, his face flushed crimson.
Bianca clutched the towel around her core, but her long legs remained completely exposed. Her collarbones curved sharply above the towel’s edge–like hooks snagging his gaze.
When he’d entered moments ago, he’d accidentally caught her entire back–slender, with the curve of her waist dipping into a maddening arc that sent his thoughts scattering.
Flustered, Elvin forgot to look away.
Bianca watched him watching her, cheeks burning. “Elvin,” she demanded, “how long are you planning to stare?”
Bianca Watts let out an annoyed sound, making Elvin hurriedly look
away.
At the same time, his ears flushed as he stammered, “S–sorry.”
Bianca snapped, “Get out first.”
Elvin glanced outside the window. “I need to talk. I’ll leave later. Get dressed.”

His mind kept replaying her bare back moments ago, an image he couldn’t shake.
Yet he clenched his jaw, forcing himself not to dwell on it.
Seeing him turn away, Bianca inexplicably trusted him completely.
She dropped her towel and slipped into pajamas.
Only after dressing did she say, “Done.”
When Elvin turned back, he avoided her eyes, staring at her toes instead. “Yeah.”
Bianca felt irritated by his midnight window climbing–he’d scared her multiple times already.
Especially since she’d been undressed moments earlier.
Thinking this, she patiently said, “Elvin, stop coming over. Next time, I’ll board up the windows.”
Hearing that, Elvin jerked his head up, glaring fiercely. “Go ahead. Board them up and I’ll come through the front door.”
A roguish smirk spread across his face. “Perfect chance for your brother and sister–in–law to learn I’ve been in your bed. They can make you take responsibility.” alr
Bianca’s face flushed crimson. “Elvin, you-”
Elvin strode forward until his towering shadow engulfed her completely.
Watching her helpless expression, his face lit with amusement.

He leaned down, laughter threading his voice. “You get to bully me, but I can’t return the favor?”
Bianca turned away, avoiding the question. “Why are you here again?”
Instead of answering, Elvin brushed past her and flopped onto her bed.
Seeing this, Bianca snapped, “Elvin, get down!”
Last time he’d slept here, she’d forgotten to change the sheets before work.
That night, Kellie Watts came to play and grew tired in her room.
Resting her head on the pillow, Kellie wrinkled her nose. “Aunt, your pillow smells off.”
Bianca had sniffed it–not foulness, but Elvin’s lingering scent of alcohol and musk.
The blend made Kellie think it smelled bad.
Faced with Kellie’s confusion, Bianca had been speechless.
So now, watching Elvin sprawl on her bed, fresh irritation surged through her.
Elvin lay flat, ignoring her command. Instead, he addressed her earlier question: “Couldn’t sleep. Wanted to see you.”
As he spoke, he studied Bianca’s face intently, searching for any flicker of reaction.
But ultimately, he found nothing.
Seeing his shameless look, Bianca shot him a glance: “Fine, stay there.

I’ll sleep on the sofa.”
With that, she turned and marched to the sofa, lying down huffily.
Bianca pulled the quilt over her head, turning her back toward Elvin.
She thought he wouldn’t possibly stay all night.
Once tired, he’d surely leave.
Exhausted yet wary of Elvin’s presence, Bianca fought sleep.
After what felt like ages, just as drowsiness overwhelmed her, Elvin suddenly spoke: “Let’s go out.”
Bianca jolted alert: “Where?”
She lowered the quilt, looking back at Elvin.
Elvin lay sideways on her bed, gesturing toward the window: “We’ll go through there.”
