chapter248
Bianca froze: “Huh?”
Elvin grinned: “I’ll take you to the Old Town Night Bazaar. We can float Wish Candles and make wishes.”
Strangely tempted, Bianca recalled her medical school days in Ylagos when she’d visited with dormmates years ago.
Living in Ylagos meant nothing since Winnie’s arrival consumed her entire life.
Even outings required Winnie’s approval.
Elvin’s suggestion unexpectedly sparked her interest.
The Old Town’s vibrant energy had amazed her back then.
After years away, she longed to revisit.
Reading Bianca’s silence, Elvin knew she wanted to go.
Anticipating her hesitation, he cut it short.
Swinging off the bed, he strode toward the sofa: “Need me to carry you up?”
His deliberately drawn–out tone made Bianca bolt upright: “Got it.”
Elvin commanded: “Change clothes.”
Bianca slid off the sofa, rummaged through her closet, then headed for

the bathroom.
Watching her retreat, Elvin teased: “What?
Am I gonna eat you?
Changing behind my back?”
Ignoring him, Bianca disappeared into the bathroom.
Emerging later, she found Elvin waiting exactly where she’d left him.
He stepped forward, wrapping his arm around her waist: “Front door?”
Bianca looked horrified: “No! My brothers might see!”
Elvin chuckled darkly: “Scared they’ll catch us?”
She pushed against him weakly, only to be pulled tighter.
Guiding her to the window, Elvin smiled down: “Hold tight, sweetheart.”
His hand snapped toward a rope on the floor, coiling it twice around his wrist before giving a testing tug.
The next moment, something above forcefully pulled him up.
Elvin reacted swiftly. The instant he flipped out the window, he wrapped his arm tightly around Bianca’s waist.
Just like that, the two were successfully yanked out through the window by the rope.
Immediately after, they were airborne again.

Bianca was terrified. Before she could even protest, Elvin had already dragged her into this reckless scheme.
The moment she was held mid–air, fear made her clutch Elvin’s coat desperately. She locked her legs around him, terrified of falling.
Elvin showed no trace of fear. Calmly, he glanced down at Bianca in his arms. Seeing her trembling grip on his clothes, he chuckled.
Soon, Elvin landed firmly, but Bianca still clung to him like an octopus, seemingly unaware they’d touched ground.
Seeing her like this, Elvin couldn’t hold back a laugh. He patted her back gently: “We’ve landed. Still holding on?
Afraid I’ll bolt?”
Bianca acted deaf, refusing to loosen her grip.
Elvin’s smile deepened. He leaned close to her ear, murmuring suggestively: “Alright, baby. I told you I won’t run. I’ll stay as long as you want me. But if you choke me like this, I might suffocate.”
Bianca remained shaken, still clinging.
Growing concerned, Elvin gently pried her off. When he looked down, he froze–her face was streaked with tears.
Panicked, he grabbed her shoulders: “What’s wrong?
Did I say something to upset you?”
Bianca finally felt a sliver of security when her feet touched solid ground.
She wiped tears from her cheeks before shaking her head at Elvin. “I’m

fine, just a bit shaken.”
Elvin eyed her skeptically. “Really?”
Bianca nodded. “Really.”
Noticing her gloom, he ventured, “Missing Blair again?”
Bianca shot him a glare. “Why would I?”
Her sharp reaction only convinced Elvin she cared deeply.
But he brushed the thought aside–overthinking wasn’t his style.
By the time Elvin drove Bianca to Old Town, midnight had settled.
Despite the hour, the streets buzzed with life. Girls in period costumes mingled with crowds browsing stalls lining the avenues.
Handmade trinkets, pendants, bracelets, Handmade Umbrellas, Snacks…
Old Town at night held more charm than daylight, pulsing with vibrant
energy.
