Seeing Bianca’s resolute tone, Elvin’s lips curved into an unconscious smile before he began slicing the apple into small pieces on a plate.
He fed her the apple chunks with a toothpick. She didn’t refuse, eating contentedly.
Elvin’s smile never faded as he thought about Bianca’s attitude toward Blair.

It was too hard for her to tell.
So she stopped dwelling on the truth or falsehood.
Remembering Elvin’s words, she finally replied, “Actually, it doesn’t matter anymore.”
Her tone was calm. Elvin could tell she wasn’t being spiteful.
Seeing her response, he continued, “It’s never too late to start over. Trying out a few more men isn’t a bad thing.”
Bianca Watts leaned against the bed frame, her body limp. His words made her frown. She looked at him, amusement in her voice. “I’m already like this, and you still have the heart to tease me?”
Elvin met her gaze seriously. “I’m not teasing you. This isn’t a joke. I
mean it.”
She knew exactly who he meant by “trying out a few more men“– himself.
Bianca Watts chose not to dwell on this with Elvin any longer.
As noon approached, she casually changed the subject. “Elvin, I want shrimp.”
She genuinely craved shrimp, and genuinely wanted to avoid
discussing relationships.

Rarely did Bianca Watts make requests, so Elvin brightened instantly. “Sure, I’ll have some delivered soon.”
Watching his smile, she suddenly remembered something. “Don’t ask the housekeeper to cook it.”
Too late. Elvin lifted his head, beaming as he showed her his phone screen. “Already did. I told her.”
Bianca Watts stared at the WhatsApp chat window. She considered asking him to recall the message-
But the reply had already arrived: “Of course! If my girl loves it, I’ll cook it every day.”
Above it was Elvin’s message: “Mom, your daughter–in–law wants shrimp.”
The earlier messages went unread by Bianca Watts.
Seeing no way out, she closed her eyes briefly. “Elvin, is this how you always pick up women?”
She asked seriously, her eyes filled with doubt.
Putting away his phone, Elvin raised an eyebrow. “I’ve never picked up other women. I only want to pick you up.”
Bianca Watts brushed off his words. “If so, your tactics are impressive.”
Elvin paused. His expression darkened abruptly. “Must you provoke me?”
Hearing his anger, she turned to explain. “I’m not.”

Expectedly, it was Blair calling.
