chapter295
Graham rarely saw Bianca being so sharp. He was momentarily stunned.
When he spoke again, his voice dropped involuntarily: “Get out. Don’t make me have someone escort you out:
Bianca said dismissively, “No need. I wouldn’t deign to stay any longer.”
She turned to leave, but after a thought, still feeling unsatisfied, she turned back and said to Graham, “Although you detest me, I still want to give you a blessing: I hope your future child will meet someone as ‘good‘ as Ms. Xu.”
The word ‘good‘ was uttered by Bianca through clenched teeth.
Bianca Watts left the hospital room without a single person asking her
to stay.
Graham despised her, Maxine envied her, Winnie Avery didn’t need her…
Come to think of it, she’d always been the extra one.
Back in her own room, the doctor arrived for rounds.
He told Bianca her condition wasn’t serious and suggested discharge. Even without his advice, Bianca had planned to leave today.
By afternoon, Lynette Watts arrived, bustling about to handle Bianca’s

discharge.
After completing the paperwork, it was already past five.
Lynette took Bianca back to the Watts family home.
Entering the hall, Bianca immediately spotted Berry Schwartz sitting primly on the sofa.
He looked stiff and uncomfortable, nervously sipping tea.
Seeing Bianca and Lynette, he scrambled up. “Mrs. Watts, Bianca, you’re back.”
Lynette paused briefly before smiling. “Hello, Dr. Schwartz.”
The tips of Berry’s ears flushed pink with embarrassment. Noticing his discomfort, Bianca approached. “Please sit, Berry.” Sensing they needed privacy, Lynette tactfully headed upstairs.
Berry’s heart clenched seeing Bianca’s gaunt face.
“I went to your department today. They said you were on leave, so I came here to check on you.”
Bianca offered him dried fruit. “Had a slight fever these past two days, so I skipped the hospital.”
Instinctively, Berry pressed his palm to her forehead, then his own.
Confirming no fever, he asked softly, “Feeling better today?”
Bianca nodded. “Much better.”

Berry fell silent.
He couldn’t shake the thought: she probably didn’t need him.
Otherwise, why keep such a major thing as hospitalization from him?
Suddenly. Kellie Watts came tearing down the stairs.
“Auntie! You’re home!”
The girl flung herself into Bianca’s arms, laughing through tears.
Bianca held Kellie tight, her nose tingling with emotion.
For a fleeting moment, Winnie Avery’s face surfaced in her mind.
Kellie settled onto Bianca’s lap, facing her.
Playing with Bianca’s hair, she chirped, “Auntie, Uncle Berry brought tons of stuff! Grandpa got wine and tonics, Grandma got a Silk Dress and skincare, Dad got ties, Mom got a watch…” Kellie leaned in conspiratorially, “…and a huge box just for you. I peeked–it’s packed with snacks, drinks, a game console, and jewelry!”
Kellie Watts straightened up again, giggling: “Aunt, Berry got me presents too. lots and lots of chocolates and Barbie dolls.”
Bianca Watts looked at Kellie’s sweet, adorable face and couldn’t resist gently booping her nose. “You little rascal.”
Kellie chuckled twice before adding: “Well then, Aunt, I’m going upstairs to play with my Barbies.”
Bianca nodded. “Mm, go ahead.”
Only after Kellie went upstairs did Bianca turn back to Berry Schwartz.

She smiled softly at him. “Thank you.”
Berry didn’t acknowledge her gratitude. Instead, he suddenly said: “Miles is having a gathering this weekend. He asked me to invite you.”
Bianca was slightly taken aback but agreed. “Okay.”
It was still relatively early. The Watts family members hadn’t returned yet, though the servants were already busy preparing dinner.
Berry had delivered his gift and seen Bianca, yet he showed no sign of leaving.
By seven o’clock, the entire Watts family had finally returned home.
