When the light flickered on, a palette of soft hues greeted her.
Lavender bedsheets, a pure white wardrobe, a matching vanity table…
Every visible item bore muted tones.
Standing there now, Bianca felt an inexplicable strangeness.
Though the room’s layout remained unchanged, its contents had been entirely replaced.
She used to decorate exclusively in black, white, and gray to suit Blair’s
taste.
Now Diane could arrange things freely here.
Diane’s presence permeated the space.
Her comb and skincare products sat on the vanity, a medical textbook lay open on the desk, an unused eye mask rested near the pillow, and pink slippers waited bedside…
Amid these, Blair’s belongings were everywhere too.
Their intermingled possessions conjured vivid images of intimate
moments.
In this very room, Bianca had once been with Blair.
But now it belonged to Blair and Diane.

They must have explored countless positions here.
As her thoughts spiraled, footsteps approached from behind.
Turning, Bianca saw Blair drawing near. He calmly stated, “You’ll likely need to stay at Harmony Residence for a while.”
She listened silently, offering no response.
He didn’t press her.
After a stretch of quiet, Blair walked to the wardrobe and slid it open. Inside, colorful garments overflowed–only a small corner held his hung shirts and suits.
Seeing the wardrobe now, Bianca couldn’t help recalling the past.
She’d tried mingling her clothes with his, but by morning hers would vanish or his would be removed.
She watched as Blair rummaged through the vibrant fabrics and pulled out a set of pale green pajamas.
He turned around with the clothes, then walked over to Bianca and said, “This pajama set is Diane’s. I’ve never seen her wear it though, so it should be clean. You can use it after washing up tonight. Just make do for now, and tomorrow I’ll have all your daily necessities brought
over.”
Looking at the pajamas, Bianca admitted they were unique, yet she didn’t reach out to take them.
She lifted her face, trying hard to meet Blair’s gaze, and questioned him, “So Blair, when exactly are you planning to tell Grandpa about our impending divorce?”

Hearing this, Blair’s tone took on a pleading note. “Grandpa doesn’t look well lately. So at least, not now.”
Bianca sighed. “If you can’t bring yourself to say it, then I will.”
At her words, Blair instinctively grasped Bianca’s hand. “When the time is right, I’ll bring it up with Grandpa myself. Please don’t mention it in front of him now. If you do, it’ll only upset him.”
Bianca didn’t want to upset the old man either. So, she slowly twisted her hand free. When she finally pulled it back completely, her voice was icy cold. “I’ll sleep in the guest room.
Blair instantly grabbed her arm again. “Sleep here.”
Bianca let him hold her. She lifted her face to look at him, her voice detached and distant. “Blair, we’re almost divorced. Sleeping in separate rooms is the distance we should keep.”
Only then did Blair slowly release her hand.
Once free, Bianca immediately turned away without another glance at Blair.
As for the pajamas in his hand, she couldn’t be bothered to wear them. To reach the guest room, she had to pass Winnie’s bedroom.
Winnie’s door was slightly ajar. As Bianca passed by, she heard her daughter still talking to someone on the phone. She leaned her ear closer and heard Winnie say, “Mom’s home today, and I’m not happy about it at all.”
The words sent a sharp, stabbing pain through Bianca’s heart.
She remembered how Winnie used to be so sweet, so adorable, so

clingy to her…
