chapter304
“Lean down,” Blair murmured. “I’ve got something to tell you.”
Diane obediently lowered her head–only for Blair to surge up and plant a kiss on her lips.
Covering her mouth with her hand, Diane blushed furiously. “You…”
Blair laughed, bright and carefree.
Bianca Watts immediately snapped two stealthy photos with her phone.
Opening her text thread with the old man, she attached the intimate pictures.
She ached to hit send, but an inner voice warned against it. Provoking the patriarch’s health crisis wasn’t a risk she could take.
Reason prevailed. Realizing her presence was superfluous, Bianca slipped out of the restaurant.
After sitting in her car awhile, she drove to Jenna Sawyer’s place. Neither Harmony Residence nor the Watts family home appealed to her melancholy mood. Jenna’s was her only refuge.
The patriarch called just as she entered Jenna’s foyer.
“Grandfather,” Bianca answered without hesitation.
“Did you find Blair?” came the concerned query.
“Mm, I did,” she lied smoothly.

“And when will you return?”
Bianca paused. “We’re staying elsewhere tonight, Grandfather.”
The old man chuckled approvingly. “Good! Have Blair settle down and give me a second great–grandchild. That’d ease my mind.”
Bianca deftly pivoted. “Blair’s calling me. I have to go.” She ended the call before he could respond.
Listening to the dial tone, the patriarch grinned. “That boy’s even more eager than I was in my youth.”
Bianca finally kicked off her shoes in Jenna’s entryway. They settled on the living room sofa.
After hearing the day’s events, Jenna snorted. “Perfect match–that bastard and his bitch.”
Bianca smiled without responding. Blair truly didn’t matter anymore. Discussing him calmly proved she’d moved on.
Jenna frowned. “But if Blair actually goes back tonight, your lie collapses.”
Bianca’s smile turned icy. “He won’t return.”
Jenna asked, somewhat confused: “You’re so sure?”
Bianca looked at Jenna with a half–smile and said: “Don’t you understand men?”
After a moment of silence, Jenna replied: “That’s true, after all, a night of passion is priceless, especially after drinking.”
The two talked a lot, about the past, the future, the present…

When talking about Allan, Jenna’s eyes reddened with tears, saying that if time could turn back, she would definitely choose to love herself.
As for Bianca, she only wished that all the good things Elvin had ever done were fake.
The two chatted until past 1 a.m. before saying they should sleep.
But as soon as they lay down, a noise–disturbing horn sounded from downstairs.
Someone blew the horn loudly twice.
The next moment, Bianca vaguely recognized the man with the horn.
But Jenna recognized the noise–disturbing man downstairs even before Bianca.
Just from the sound of the horn, Jenna knew it
was Allan.
The residential area was quiet late at night, but with Allan’s
commotion, lights turned on in some apartments in every building and on every floor.
Some who couldn’t stand it even yelled downstairs, “Are you crazy?
What’s with the madness in the middle of the night?”
Others chimed in, “Exactly, go crazy during the day if you must.”
But Allan ignored all these voices. He had gone to great lengths to find Jenna; how could he give up this chance to reconcile?
So Allan recklessly shouted through the horn, “Jenna, I was wrong in the past. I know I messed up. Please forgive me.”
