While pinning her down, he unbuckled his belt with one hand. “Don’t be grateful, Charlotte. You love me so much. How could you ever bear to leave me?”
“Timothy, I’m warning you. Don’t do anything stupid…‘
He snorted, “Save it, Charlotte. I know you want this. Stop pretending otherwise.”
Utterly furious and anxious, she struggled with all her might. “You’re crazy! Get off of me!”
“Be good, Charlotte. I promise I’ll treat you well. Just do as I say, and I will marry you,” he said while unzipping his pants.
He had no choice.
He didn’t want to return the Lindsey family’s gifts, nor did he want to lose their patronage.
This was the only solution he could think of.
It’d be best if he could knock Charlotte up in one shot. Then she’d have no choice but to comply.

Timothy said fiercely, “You’d better cooperate if you want me to be gentle. Otherwise… you’ll realize what a huge mistake you’ve made.”

Blood trickled down his lips, the searing pain igniting his rage.
He slapped her hard, spitting, “Why are you refusing me? Is it because you’re not a virgin anymore?
“Where the fuck did you go the night of our engagement party? Did you sleep with Gregory?”
In his past life, he had known it was her first time on their wedding night.
But he deliberately accused her of faking it, forcing her to “admit” Gregory had raped her, taking her virginity forcibly.
His goal was simple–to better manipulate her, humiliate her, and to cheat on her righteously.
Dizzy from the slap, Charlotte dug her nails deeply into Timothy’s wrists.
He hissed in pain and instinctively loosened his grip for a second.
Taking the chance, she jerked her head up and slammed her forehead viciously into his nose.
“You fucking bitch!” His nose bridge nearly snapped. He covered it with his hand, and warm blood seeped through his fingers.
At the same time, she pushed him away with all her remaining strength and reached for the door handle with a trembling hand.
But the door was locked.
“Shit! I swear you’re gonna pay the price, you slut.”

Completely enraged, he yanked her back and pinned her down with his knee on her back, his eyes bloodshot.
“Timothy, let go of me! Someone! Help!”
In the next second, the sound of tearing fabric filled the car.
He had torn her blouse and skirt apart.
Blind rage took over him. He forcibly got on top of her, rendering her immobilized.
Having no way out, she could only shout at the top of her lungs, “Help! Get off of me! Don’t touch me, you piece of shit! Help!”
Over her dead body would she let him have his way.
Just then, she felt a crystal ornament.

She discreetly gripped it, took a deep breath, and said pitifully, “Timothy, you’re bleeding. I’m not gonna resist anymore. From now on, I’ll do as you say.”
Timothy was stunned for a few seconds, figuring she had finally caved.
Sure enough, sometimes wou needed to learn their lesson the hard
way.
He asked, “Do you mean it?”
Trying her best to appear calm, she said obediently, “Yes. I was wrong. I promise I’ll never upset you again.”
Breathing a sigh of relief, he nodded. “Alright. Like I said–be good, and I’ll stay with you and treat you well. Now, transfer 150 thousand dollars to Jocie for her tuition and rent…”

Chapter 16
Before he could finish speaking, she smashed the ornament into his head with all her strength.
A dull thud rang out.
He instinctively clutched his head, shrieking miserably.
Blood seeped through his fingers and streamed down nonstop.
She took the chance to kick him away, pressed the button to unlock the door, and scrambled out of the car.
“Help! Somebody, help!”
Timothy felt momentarily dizzy, but what came shortly after was a volcanic rage. “Charlotte, how dare you fuck with me! You’re so gonna regret this!”
He kicked the door and got out, too, to go after her.
