After speaking, Charlotte couldn’t help but yawn. “Mom, I’m full. I’m going upstairs to sleep.”
“Why are you going to bed so early today?”

“I’ve been sleeping badly these days, always feeling really tired.” Charlotte yawned as she spoke, heading upstairs.
She didn’t know why, but lately she always felt sleepy and lacked energy.
She had just returned to her room.

Gregory called her.
Charlotte’s heart tightened. She deliberately waited for the phone to ring a few times before answering slowly, “Hello.”
On the other end, Gregory’s deep, magnetic voice came through. “Have you eaten?”
“Yes, I’ve already eaten.”
Gregory didn’t beat around the bush and said directly, “I miss you. Come out, I’m waiting for you at your door.
“Huh?” Charlotte was startled and hurried to the window to check.

Sure enough, she could vaguely see a black car parked at the the villa.
Afraid of being seen, he had deliberately switched to a low–profile Mercedes–Benz S 350.
“Why did you come to my house?”
“Because I miss you. I want to see you now.
Charlotte felt a headache coming on. “Don’t come to my house to pick me up anymore. I don’t want my parents to find out about us so soon.”
Gregory: “Why? Is there something shameful about us?”
“No, it’s just…”
She just felt that everything was happening too suddenly.
She wasn’t mentally prepared yet.
Usually, the more unexpected love comes, the more quickly it goes.
So, before the relationship was stable, she didn’t want to tell her parents.
“Just what?”
“It’s nothing. I just feel like we don’t really know each other yet, and we haven’t officially defined our relationship. I don’t want others to know, so let’s keep it a secret for now.

His tone was short and domineering, as if he were giving an order.

“Don’t you miss me?” His voice carried a hint of coaxing, making her feel
a strange urge.
Charlotte hesitated for a few seconds, but couldn’t resist wanting to see him. “… Alright, wait for me.”
“Okay!”
She hung up the phone.
Charlotte opened her wardrobe, picked out a pure white off–shoulder dress, and paired it with matching high heels.
Then, she quietly slipped downstairs, tiptoeing toward the door.
As luck would have it, the very thing she feared happened.
Just as she reached the door, Kathy came out of her room. “Lottie, it’s so late already. Are you going out?”
Charlotte panicked inside and mumbled a reply, “Yeah, I have plans with a friend tonight. I might be back late.”
“If I come back late, you and Dad go to bed first. Don’t wait up for me.”
With that, she dashed out the door.
“Hey, Lottie, Lottie.”
“Tsk, this child has been acting so strange lately.at,

A little while later.
Charlotte got into the car.
Gregory wasn’t wearing a suit today, just a black shirt with a Patek Philippe watch on his wrist.
He looked handsome and deep.
“Hurry up and go. I’m afraid my mom will see you.”
Gregory let out a low chuckle, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her deeply.
Charlotte instinctively struggled a bit. “Stop it, let’s go!”
She tried to push him away.
But her whole body felt as if it was frozen in place.
His lips were warm and soft, his breath carrying a faint scent of mint and tobacco. It was intoxicating, making her want to keep searching for that
taste.
