Chapter 105
Chapter 106
Aria’s POV
My heart skipped a beat
Of course they lied.
They had no reason to actually help me and cure me. All they wanted was to slowly niin me from the inside out.
“So what’s in that vial? Poison?” I asked urgently.
“Ironically, no,” Malik said. “It’s actually a supplement. One that’s incredibly potent.”
i froze. A supplement? Since when would Otto be so generous?
“You still don’t get it, do you?” Malik’s tone was serious. “They’re giving you that supplement to make you look like you’re getting better. So you and Alpha Grayson won’t ask too many questions during the treatment. But the moment they stop, you’ll collapse. Your wolf will wesken instantly. So it’s just a way to hide their real intentions!”
Right. My pulse spiked. So that’s it!
“No wonder my wolf felt weaker during the second session today. I thought I was imagining it.” I leaned forward. “So what do we do now?
“You need to stop using that equipment. I’m damn sure the real problem is coming from it,” Malik said without hesitation.
If only it were that simple.
“You think I have a say in this? Otto and Isla have completely convinced Grayson they can cure me with that damn equipment. Now they even want to speed up the treatment.”
Malik’s mouth fell open. “What? You can’t. If this keeps going, both you and your wolf will die.”
“You think I don’t know that?!”
“Then tell Alpha Grayson what I found. Tear down their scheme right now. We don’t have much time to waste.”
1 shook my head. “No. Otto will just say it’s a harmless supplement and accuse me of overreacting, And Isla will jump in just to humiliate me. We can’t prove they’re trying to hurt me yet.”
He cursed, frustrated. “Damn it. So what’s the plan?”
“We need hard evidence that the treatment is harmful.” I thought quickly. “Can you think of anything?”
“Could you get me into the treatment room?” Malik asked cautiously. “I know every healer’s device. If I can see the equipment and how Otto- uses it, I’ll know exactly what he’s up to.”
“Getting you into that room is suicide. Otto would rip your head off.” I paused, then an idea clicked. “…But maybe there’s another way. The treatment room’s window faces a huge banyan tree. If you climb up high enough, you can see everything inside. My next session is in two days.”
His eyes lit up with excitement. “OK! Damn, I feel like a badass detective uncovering high–society crimes.”
I patted his shoulder. “Don’t get so cocky just yet, detective. If this goes wrong, you will lose y get caught before the next session.“.

your life and I will be in deep trouble. Just don’t
Chapter 106
I won’t. Stay safe yourself, Ana
We slit up, and I headed back toward the main building
The entrance hall was bright, and a group of soldiers stood in front of Grayscht, reporting something
He turned to me when I stepped inside, his gaze dark. “Where were you?” he asked.
“I went for a walk,” I said coolly, trying to walk past him. But his hand that out, gripping my n
“The soldiers were chasing a suspicious man earlier,” he said icily. “They followed the direction you pointed them in and lost hird corripienia Do you have something to say about that?”
My heart picked up speed. Lying to Grayson and staying calm was never easy. Even I felt a bit neribus neve
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said quickly.
His grip tightened. “You’re not a very good liar, Aria.”
Shit.
“So what now? You gonna interrogate me?” I snapped. “Go ahead. Throw me in prison and torture an answer out of me. Not like you trust me anymore.”
He stared down at me, and I forced myself to meet his eyes, refusing to back down. But… damn, it’s hard to look defiant in front of Grayson
Hart.
Just when I was about to falter, he suddenly grabbed my waist and lifted me straight off the floor. I cried out in shock.
Next thing I knew, 1 was thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
“WTF–What the hell are you doing?!” I yelled, kicking my legs.
He kept walking, then smacked my ass. I let out a short cry–God, people were watching!
“Quiet,” he growled. “Don’t make me spank you again.”
I groaned and buried my face in his back so no one could see how red I was.
He carried me all the way to my room, locked the door, and tossed me on the bed. In the next second, he was over me, arms braced on either side of my head.
“We need to work on your manners,” he said deeply, staring down at me.
My temper flared. “What, so you agree with Isla? You also think I’m some silly smalltown girl with no upper–class etiquette?”
He scoffed. “I don’t give a damn if you can curtsey or waltz. The manners I’m talking about are the ones you show me.”
His intense gaze made my heart race even faster. With his big frame hovering over me, I could feel the heat radiating off his body. A familiar tingle spread between my legs.
But I wasn’t ready to give in just yet. I wanted to play this game just a bit longer,
“What’s wrong with my attitude now?” challenged. “Was I not being respectful enough? Do you want me to bow and call you Alpha Grayson like everyone else–mmph!”
Chapter 106
I didn’t get to finish. Because his lips had crashed onto mine.
It was a wild, domineering kiss. His full weight pinned me down, giving me no chance or room to fight back. His hand gripped my jas, forcing my mouth open so his tongue could brutally invade.
I melted fast. My brain went blank completely, my heart pounded like a drumroll, and all I could do was kiss him back helplessly
When he finally pulled away slightly, I was left breathless and flushed.
“That. You acting like a naughty little brat,” he murmured, stroking my swollen lips, his voice low and rough, “That was the manner I was talking about.”
“You’re cheating!” I protested, face burning. “We have serious problems to work on, and you can’t just-
“I AM talking about our serious problems,” he said. But he had his hand sliding down my body until it reached between my thighs. “You’re
wet.”
A moan slipped out of my mouth. “No, wait… don’t…”
He pushed my panties aside and slid one finger into me. So easily, so smoothly, like cutting through butter. I was that wet.
“You want to talk about problems?” he said, moving his finger in and out. I whimpered, clamping my legs around his arm. “Let’s talk about problems then. I hate that you protect other men. I hate even the thought of other men in your eyes. You should have your sole focus on me.”
The pleasure shot through me like electricity. I clutched his arm, moaning brokenly. “No, it’s not like that… Malik’s not-”
He suddenly added another finger. “So his name is Malik?”
1 couldn’t answer anymore. I was lost in the waves of pleasure as he picked up the pace, fucking me with his fingers harder. A quick, powerful orgasm hit me, and I cried out, squirting all over his hand.
It took me a while to come down from it. He held me close, pressing soft kisses to my forehead, our bodies tangled so I could feel his hard length.
“Aren’t you going to…?” I asked softly, blushing.
“Not today. You’re tired from treatment. I want you to rest.” He ran his fingers gently through my hair.
I curled into him and pressed my ear against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. “I want you to know that I haven’t looked at anyone else since I met you. Not even Zane. He’s just a friend.”
He scoffed at Zane’s name, still clearly unhappy.
“Hey. Knock it off,” I pinched his arm. “Trust me more, will you?”
After a pause, he said quietly, “I’ll try. But you know me, Aria, I don’t tolerate secrets well.”
“I know. And I swear this secret isn’t that bad, really, and it will all be over soon,” I said quickly. “And you’ll see exactly what’s going on.”
Once Malik got the proof against Otto and Isla, we wouldn’t have to hide anymore.
“And I want you to trust me too,” he said. ” don’t feel that way about Isla anymore. She’s just a friend now. You’re the only one who matters, Aria.”
I hesitated.
person I can trust and talk to.

Chapter 106
I wanted to tell him that Isla and Malik were totally different cases. And it was pretty damn clear isla still wanted to get back with Ram an she’d do anything to make that happen.
But the mood was too good right now to ruin with another fight. So I swallowed down everything I had to say.
Plus, soon enough, when I presented the hard evidence against Otto and that evil woman, he’d see Isla’s true face for himself
Just a few more days.
