Chapter 7
My once–beloved lover now wore a twisted expression, as if he wanted to kill someone. “I don’t agree. I won’t sign. Don’t think you can just kick me out. It’s not that simple.”
“It is that simple!”

called the lawyer over with disdain. “Explain it to Mr. Caldwell.”
“We’ve compiled extensive evidence of Mr. Caldwell’s adultery and inappropriate intimate relationship with his stepsister during your marriage. This constitutes grounds for divorce and demonstrates serious misconduct.”
Alex’s face changed color several times. He wanted to explain something but then closed his mouth.
“Ms. Harrell filed for divorce. You were served papers and didn’t respond, so the court granted a default divorce. It’s final. Don’t contact Ms. Harrell anymore, or we’ll get a restraining order.”
Elena jumped out again, clinging to Alex’s arm. “Alex, let’s leave now. Good riddance to her. Anyone with money can buy this kind of crappy house. Who cares?”
“Right, Elena’s right. We’re the real family. The three of us living together is better than anything.” Margaret also came over arrogantly to persuade him.
Alex looked dejected and wanted to say something, but the two women dragged him away.
“Don’t forget your luggage,” Betty commanded from behind. “If you don’t

want it, we’ll throw it all out as trash.”
After divorcing Alex, I returned to the business world and social circles.
Although I’d spent these past few years as a full–time housewife taking care of the household affairs, my identity as the eldest daughter of the Harrell family in the elite circle made me the center of attention as soon as I returned.

However, Elena never knew about this email account.
So I suspected Alex was deliberately instructing her to do this behind the
scenes.
Did he want to provoke me with these photos and make me come crawling back?
I casually opened them to look.
The photos showed Elena in a swimsuit, leaning against Alex’s chest during their vacation.
The way they were embracing didn’t look like siblings they looked more
like lovers.
Elena also directly provoked me in the email.
“Look, Victoria Harrell. Even though you got the villa, you lost your
lover.
“I’m now the vice president of Caldwell Group, and more importantly, the woman Alex loves most.

“Victoria, you gave up all this for a house. I think you’re so stupid and pitiful.”
I was speechless reading this and directly deleted the email account.
The Caldwell family was in the past. I had too many things to keep me busy now.
I thought this would completely rid me of that weird siblings‘ family.
Who knew I’d encounter them again at a business gala not long after?
