Without another word, he grabbed Sienna and walked away in front of everyone.
The people in the room looked at Yvonne with sympathy.
Nancy, who had been quiet until then, couldn’t hold back any longer and rushed out.
Yvonne quickly realized what Nancy was about to do and chased after her, finding her argu- ing with Colin in the garage.
“Yvonne is my best friend! Why did you humiliate her in front of everyone? She’s loved you for so many years. Can’t you show some kindness for the sake of her sincerity?”
“I’ve put up with her for seven years. I rejected her politely over and over for your sake. Isn’t that enough? Her love has only brought me trouble!”
Nancy was furious, almost losing control as she yelled at him.
“Don’t worry! She’ll never love you again! After you left her on the road last time, she got into that car accident and had a concussion-”
“I only took her home because of you. Why should I feel bad about abandoning her? Even if she had a car accident, even if time could go back a hundred times, I’d still choose Sienna over her! If she still resents me, she should just stay away!”
The sound of a car door slamming echoed in the distance. Yvonne didn’t want them to know she had overheard, so she quickly turned and left to avoid more awkwardness.
Once home, she went through the entire house, sorting out everything related to Colin that she’d kept over the years.
Then, she threw it all away.
She spent the next two days packing up her things.

288 ¡Vouchers
On Monday, Yvonne went to work and handed in her resignation letter to the HR depart-
ment.
The staff was shocked when they heard she was resigning.
“Weren’t you just in a car accident and on leave? I heard the director position in the design department is open, and Mr. Sullivan was planning to promote you. Why are you suddenly quitting?”
According to Nancy, Yvonne had joined the Sullivan Group’s design department after gradu- ation just to be closer to Colin.
For three years, she worked hard to be near him and have a chance to be by his side.
But now, she didn’t remember him and had forgotten what it was like to like him.
So, when faced with the staff who hoped she wouldn’t leave, she just smiled gently.
“I just want to go back to my hometown.”
The HR staff didn’t try to persuade her further and stamped her resignation form.
“Alright. Once I get Mr. Sullivan’s signature, your resignation will be processed.”
