The Reynolds family’s company was barely hanging on. After retuming to San Francisco, I quietly investigated the company’s internal operations.
To my surprise, the business was slowly recovering. I couldn’t help but wonder–did Winston actually have the ability to bring it back from the brink?
But if such a turnaround required a huge influx of capital, where could he possibly have gotten the money?
“You think Winston’s money came from something shady?” Denver frowned.
I nodded slowly. “It doesn’t make sense. If he really secured an investor, what kind of person would dump so much money into a sinking ship without blinking?
I fell into silence. Taking back the company I’d built from scratch was proving far more difficult than I imagined.
Still, as a shareholder, I couldn’t suppress the urge–I paid a visit to the office.
Winston and my father were in a meeting when I arrived unannounced, and my father’s expression instantly darkened.
“What wind blew you in here? This temple is too small for a god like you–please leave.”
“Uncle Leandro is upset, Winston said, trying to smooth things over. “Don’t mind him. What brings you here today?”
He even looked a little pleased, offering me tea with a trace of eagemess in his eyes.
“I want to acquire the company. Name your price.”
“What did you just say? My father slammed his hand on the desk. “Bianca, are you trying to take advantage of our crisis?“!
No, that would be what you did. If I hadn’t been half–paralyzed at the time, the company never would’ve ended up in your hands. Right
now, you’re drowning in debt. If you sell it to me, your problems are solved. “I
“In your dreams! If that’s what you came for this conversation is over. Get out!“?
My father’s face flushed red with rage, and he clutched his chest in pain, eyes squeezed shut
Panicked, Winston rushed to his side, pulling quick–acting heart pills from his pocket and helping him take them.
Then he turned to me, his tone was filled with blame.
“Why do you insist on tearing this family apart? Haven’t you vented your anger enough? Yes. I wronged you, but I’ll pay back every cent❘ took. I’ll compensate you–can’t you just let it go?“B
I stared coldly at him.
“Did you think about how I felt when y
you betrayed me with Kiara? When you stole
my company? You’ve always been selfish, Winston.“”
Clenching my fists to suppress the fury boiling inside me, I spat out one final warning before leaving.
“I want the company. And I want my mother’s necklace back. If you don’t comply–don’t blame me for what happens next“:
As I stepped out of the building, I pulled out my phone and called the police.
That emerald necklace was my mother’s premarital property–it had nothing to do with Leandro
Not long after, Winston and Kiara showed up in San Francisco to confront me.
She was heavily pregnant now, her figure was bloated and awkward. Gone was the arrogance she once camed–her expression was tense and wary.

“Sis…” Kiara tried a softer tone, “for the sake of our sisterhood, can you let this go? We really can’t get the necklace back. money in the future, I’ll pay you back, okay?”
I didn’t even look up, continuing to flip through the documents on my desk.

Her face flushed with frustration but she didn’t dare lash out, instead she tugged on Winston’s sleeve to prompt him to speak.
He looked annoyed but still tried to play the sympathy card
“Bianca… can’t you give us a little more time? We’re really struggling right now. For the sake of everything we once had, do you have to go this far?”
I finally put my pen down and looked at them both, fully realizing that old saying–birds of a feather flock together!
“If you sell me the company, this whole necklace issue goes away. Kiara, let’s be honest–Winston just isn’t willing to give up the company for you. Can’t you see that?”
“Blanca!” Kiara snapped, her face twisted with rage. “You’re still trying to drive a wedge between us? If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be in this situation at all! Honestly, I wish you had died in that typhoon. Then our whole family could’ve had peace!”
My eyes narrowed as I slammed the file onto the desk. Rising to my feet, I slowly walked toward her, my voice tumed icy
*Truly a mother–daughter duo with no shame. Fine. Don’t blame me for what comes next. Get out.”
Winston panicked. He pushed Kiara aside and cut her off.
“Bianca, don’t be like this. It’s all my fault. I know I wronged you. If you want, I’ll cut ties with Kiara. Just don’t destroy the company. That necklace was stolen by her mother–it had nothing to do with me. She forced me to come here!”
Kiura stared at him in disbelief, as though she didn’t recognize him anymore.
“Winston, what are you saying? I’m carrying your child! You promised me a grand wedding after the baby is born. You said I was the one you loved most!”
Winston shook off her hand, his face full of irritation.
“Shut up! I’ve had enough of you! Ever since we got together, my life has been a mess. I could’ve had a happy marriage, a thriving career. But now? I’m on the verge of losing everything!”
Kiara froze in place when Winston yelled at her!
