Chapter 48
“How dare you speak to me like that!” Mrs. Chancer pointed her finger at Sarah’s face. “Have you lost your mind?”
Sarah gave her a dismissive glance before turning to address the administrators:
“I apologize that my personal matters have disrupted your day. I’ve seen the forum post, but isn’t it absurd to condemn someone based on one heavily edited photo?”
Sarah spoke with quiet dignity.
The Dean and other administrators exchanged uncomfortable glances. They knew the photo proved nothing, but Mrs. Chancer’s influence was hard to ignore.
Mrs. Chancer sneered at Sarah. “Would I be here without solid evidence?”
She pulled out a USB drive, gesturing for the assistant to connect it to the projector. “Let’s see how arrogant you’ll be after this!”
As the projector warmed up, the footage appeared on screen.
It was surveillance video, blurry except for Sarah’s unusually clear figure. The timestamp showed last year.
The footage showed Sarah entering a hotel with a man.
Sarah almost laughed out loud.
This was from her dinner with Zachary!
Mrs. Chancer had gone to great lengths – hiring someone to edit the timestamp to last year, removing Mia completely, and
blurring Zachary beyond recognition while keeping Sarah perfectly visible.
From the photos to this video, Mrs. Chancer’s motives were transparent. She wanted to prove Sarah’s infidelity without revealing
that Zachary was involved.
“Mrs. Chancer, if you’re going to frame someone, at least hire a better editor,” Sarah couldn’t resist mocking. “Look at the timestamp everything else is blurred, but why is there a double date showing?”
The administrators immediately looked closer, noticing the real date flickering beneath the edited one.
The truth dawned on everyone in the room.
Humiliated at being exposed, Mrs. Chancer exploded in anger.
She slammed the table, glaring at the Dean. “I’ll make this clear – if you don’t want to offend the Chancer family, Sarah must be
fired today!”
Sarah’s heart tightened.
Just then, the conference room door opened.

Light streamed in as Zachary strode in unhurriedly.
He wore an impeccably tailored suit, his commanding presence filling the room, making it difficult for anyone to meet his gaze.
A brief silence fell over the room.
The administrators exchanged surprised glances – why was this powerful figure suddenly here?
They greeted him respectfully. Zachary nodded slightly, his eyes fixed on Sarah.
Somehow, just seeing him made Sarah’s heart steady.
Though he hadn’t said a word, she sensed he was here to help her.
