The screen lit up, showing a dimly lit scene where a man
an was tugging at a woma
woman.
Everyone froze in shock. Flashbulbs fired relentlessly as reporters eagerly captured what they assumed would be the next big
scandal in high society.
Lucy didn’t even turn around to confirm; the reaction from the crowd told her all she needed to know. Bursting with excitement, she pointed at Sarah and announced, “That woman in the photo is Sarah Sanders, Adams University’s school counsellor and my former sister–in–law! I’m exposing her for the shameless woman she is–cheating on her husband and seducing men!”
She could already imagine Zachary’s anger as he pushed Sarah away in disgust. The vision thrilled her, and she turned to gauge
Sarah’s reaction.
But instead of fear or panic, Sarah sat there calmly, her lips curved in a faint smile. Zachary showed no trace of emotion, his face
impassive as he watched the screen. Even Mia looked amused, her face lit up with excitement as if she were enjoying a show..
Lucy’s smugness wavered. What was going on? Why wasn’t Zachary reacting to the woman on the screen?
Then a loud, familiar voice broke through her thoughts: “Let me go! I’m from the Chancer family!”
The sound jolted Lucy back to reality. She whipped around to look at the screen.
What she saw made her blood drain cold.
On the screen was a video of herself, struggling with a middle–aged man. The scene was unmistakable–it was from the Reynolds
family banquet a few days ago.
Her face turned ghostly pale as she scrambled to block the screen with her body. “Don’t look! Turn it off! TURN IT OFF!” she screamed hysterically.
The screen finally went dark, but it was too late. The image had been burned into everyone’s memory. Reporters had captured
everything, and the crowd buzzed with whispers.
Lucy spun around to her mother, desperate and enraged. “Mom! It was supposed to be Sarah’s photo! What happened?!”
She turned her glare to Sarah, her eyes brimming with hatred. It clicked. Sarah. It was her. She switched the footage.
Pointing at Sarah, Lucy shrieked, “You set me up! You did this to me!” Her voice cracked as her eyes turned bloodshot.
Charlotte was too stunned to speak, while James stood frozen in disbelief.
Mrs. Chancer immediately rushed to her daughter’s side, shielding her protectively. “Lucy, what’s going on?!”
Tears streaming, Lucy wailed, “It was supposed to show Sarah’s photos! How did it switch to me? Mom, she’s behind this–she
ruined me!”
The crowd parted, leaving a clear path to Sarah, who stood at the other end, calm and composed.

Mrs. Chancer pointed a trembling finger at her. “What did you do, you wretched woman?!”
Sarah crossed her arms and replied coldly, “Isn’t it obvious? She tried to frame me but accidentally exposed herself. Maybe you
should take a closer look at your daughter–she’s the one who’s been running around with different men.”
Mrs. Chancer shook with rage, humiliated in front of the distinguished guests. Her face burned with shame. “Get out! You’re full
of nonsense! Lucy is such a sweet, obedient girl, and you dare slander her!”
Sarah almost laughed aloud. Obedient? Lucy? The absurdity of the claim was almost too much to handle.
Meanwhile, whispers and judgmental murmurs from the crowd filled Lucy’s ears. Her entire plan–her big moment to shine and
expose Sarah–was in shambles. What should have been a triumphant evening had become her worst nightmare, with all eyes
now on her disgrace.
Her face flushed bright red, not just from anger but from the humiliation of being the subject of everyone’s gossip.
This was all Sarah’s doing. The photos were supposed to ruin Sarah, but now they had destroyed her instead.
Clinging to her mother’s arm, Lucy sobbed uncontrollably. “Mom, make it stop… There are so many people watching…”
