Chapter 88
Lucy regained her composure from her anger. “This video shows someone harassing me unsuccessfully – I’m the real victim
here!”
She quickly changed the narrative, casting herself as the victim, hoping to gain sympathy.
Sarah understood her intention but chose not to expose her in front of so many reporters.

Since there was nothing left for her here, she had no interest in listening to whatever Lucy and the Chancer family would say
next.
She scanned the room and finally found her target – Jane Lawrence.
Jane stood elegantly in her formal dress, sipping champagne and watching the events unfold with a slight smile, as if the chaos had nothing to do with her.
Sarah walked over, with Zachary following. Mia waved him on playfully, “Go on, Zac, keep Sarah company. I’m enjoying the show
here!”
Sarah approached Jane directly, extending her hand. “Ms. Lawrence, hello.”
Jane looked puzzled but took Sarah’s offered hand. “Hello, and you are?”
“Sarah Sanders. I’m a counselor at Adams University. I’ve been trying to contact you since you returned to the country but haven’t been able to. I hope you don’t mind my direct approach.”
“Not at all. And this is?” Jane looked curiously at Zachary.

Though he’d followed Sarah over, unusually cold, his expression sharp and frosty.
He nodded slightly. “I’m Zachary Reynolds.”
She looked familiar to him. “I believe we’ve met.”
Sarah raised an eyebrow, giving Zachary an odd look. Was she flirting? And with such a cliché line?
But Jane smiled, her guard dropping. “Mr. Reynolds doesn’t remember? You once consulted me about your sister’s psychological
issues.”
“Ah, now I recall,” Zachary’s expression remained unchanged.
Sarah’s eyes widened, then showed disappointment. “So you’ve already seen Mia’s case…
A touch of warmth entered Zachary’s cold eyes – why did she seem let down?
He remembered Mia saying Sarah wanted to meet Jane for more than just the competition, though she wouldn’t tell Mia why.
Now he was pretty sure it must be about Mia.

“How is Mia’s condition?” Jane asked with concern.
“She hasn’t had an episode in a long time,” Zachary said quietly.
“That’s good.”
Sarah shook her head. “Not really. It’s treating the symptoms, not the cause. No episodes means no triggers, but if she’s triggered one day, we’ll be helpless. We don’t even know what could trigger her.”
Zachary’s eyes filled with tenderness – Sarah truly cared about Mia.
“You’re right. Mr. Reynolds came to me hoping for a cure, but I didn’t have enough time to help her,” Jane said regretfully.
Sarah thought for a moment. “Dr. Lawrence, Adams University is holding a psychology knowledge competition in four days. Would you consider being a judge?”
