Chapter 91
Sarah struggled with multiple shopping bags in her hands, finally out of room to carry any more. “Give me a hand,” she said,
looking over at Zachary,
Before she knew it, the weight in her hands vanished. Zachary had taken all the bags and was already heading toward the elevator
with them. He carried the load effortlessly, as if it weighed nothing.
“Mr. Reynolds, let me take some of those!” Sarah protested, reaching to grab a few back.
Zachary shifted slightly, evading her attempt. “I’ve got it.”
“They’re too much for one person,” she insisted, reaching again.
“Just get in the elevator,” Zachary said, cutting off further argument.
Sarah stepped inside, but when Zachary tried to enter, the width of the bags got stuck in the doorway. She quickly reached out to
adjust them, just as the elevator doors began to close.
With a furrowed brow, Zachary moved swiftly, grabbing her shoulder to pull her in with him before the doors could shut. In the
tight space, she ended up pressed against the elevator wall, his imposing figure and the mountain of bags leaving no room to maneuver. The faint scent of his cologne filled the air, and she felt her cheeks flush.
“Can you move over a bit?” Sarah asked, her voice tinged with embarrassment.
Zachary tilted his head slightly, clearly enjoying her predicament. “Which way?”
“You’re doing this on purpose,” she muttered, her face growing even redder. She squirmed against the wall, trying to make
space, but his broad shoulders and the bags made it impossible.
When the elevator doors opened, Scarlett and Mia were standing there waiting. They both let out an exaggerated squeal. “Oops!
We didn’t see anything, we swear!” Scarlett declared dramatically.
Sarah glanced down at her position, realizing how close they must have looked. Her face turned red, and she shoved Zachary
aside. “Nothing happened!” she stammered, rushing out to unlock her apartment door.
After Zachary had dropped the bags inside, Sarah finally saw what Scarlett had brought over–bags full of clothes and
accessories
“I went shopping today and bought tons of stuff, including matching outfits for us! Trust my taste! You always dress so dull,
Sarah. You need something fun and stylish,” Scarlett chirped as she started unpacking
She pulled out various items, from hair clips to bracelets, and handed them to Sarah and Mia, “Look, Mia, pick whatever you It’s my treat!”
like.
“Thanks, Scarlett!” Mia beamed as she rifled through the pile, her eyes lighting up at the pretty pieces. She eventually selected
three hairpins, which Scarlett gave her with a big grin.

When Zachary was about to leave, Scarlett handed him a mug, saying it matched the one she’d bought for Sarah. As he and Mia stepped out, Mia giggled mischievously. “Zac, isn’t that a couples mug with Sarah?”
Zachary chuckled quietly, dropped Mia off at her apartment upstairs, and left.
Back in Sarah’s apartment, Scarlett turned serious. “Mia told me about that Lucy girl. What’s wrong with her? Is she seriously
spending all her time scheming against you?”
“And you!” Scarlett pointed accusingly at Sarah. “She said you rushed to see Jane Lawrence because she was there. What if you
hadn’t realized Lucy’s plan? She could have tricked you! Is this school competition really worth that much?”
Sarah sighed. “It’s not just about the competition. It’s also about Mia. I promised Zachary I’d help treat her psychological trauma.
Jane is a renowned expert–she could guide me.”
“Did you find any new leads for Mia?” Scarlett asked, her tone softening
Sarah shook her head. “Unfortunately, no. Zachary had already consulted her in the past.”
Scarlett frowned but quickly put on a comforting smile. “You’ll figure it out. You always do. Now cheer up! Try on these outfits–1
need to see how amazing you’ll look!”
