Finally, I drove to the institute.
Everyone’s gaze was strange along the way.
I ignored them and went directly to the mutated creature containment level.
The space where the mutated Ragdoll cat had been kept was now empty.
I called over the caretaker.
“Where is Experiment Subject 033?”
The caretaker hesitated, appearing to want to say something.
After a moment, he spoke:
“Mr. Price took it.”
A vein pulsed in my forehead.

The caretaker remained silent.
He didn’t need to speak for me to understand.
It had been removed and destroyed by Landon Price as well.
I couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh.
What a clever tactic.
Now, anything I said would be baseless.
Even if I stood up and declared that this mutated cat was non–aggressive and could be returned to society,
There would be no data to support my claim.

“Are you the head, or am I?”
I scoffed.
As his expression grew increasingly ugly,
I retorted mockingly:
“As the head of the institute, you refuse to clarify rumors for your staff, instead siding with the Sterling family to distort right from wrong.”
“What right do you have to sit in that position?”
Just then, the door suddenly opened.
Isabelle Sterling walked in, arms crossed.
She looked at me haughtily.
“Because this institute is sponsored by my Sterling family,” she declared.
The woman curled her lips into a contemptuous smile.
Her posture was triumphant and arrogant.
“I forgot to tell you, once you leave, all your research will become mine.”
“And you, Blair Sutton, will be nothing.”
Isabelle walked over, seemingly intending to humiliatingly pat my shoulder.
I looked at her with cold eyes.
“Your hand doesn’t hurt anymore?” I asked, my voice laced with sarcasm.
The woman’s hand stiffened.
She clearly remembered the scratches on her arm.
Her face twisted for a moment,
‘After a pause, she sneered:

Suddenly, several bodyguards swarmed in from outside the door.
Isabelle pointed at me.
“Grab her and take her away!”
“I want to punish her properly first, then sue her for intentional assault and send her to the monitoring office!”
