He swept his cold gaze across everyone in the room, and the pressure washed over them like a tide.
It sent shivers down their spines.
The fully armed bodyguards behind him swarmed forward.
Forcing Isabelle’s bodyguards to retreat again and again.
Isabelle saw him and slightly raised an eyebrow.
“Aren’t you Silas Blackwood, the werewolf from the Blackwood clan?”
“I heard your family has been begging my Sterling family for a marriage alliance lately?”
The woman tossed her long hair.
Then she looked Silas up and down.
She scoffed.
“If you help me teach Blair Sutton a good lesson today,” she said, “I’ll agree to the marriage.”
Hearing this, I was somewhat stunned.
Marriage alliance? Marriage?
How long had it been?
Had they already progressed this far?
The comments in my mind were already cheering wildly.
But I had no interest in watching their display of supposed affection anymore.
I was about to say my trump card when-
A figure flashed past me.
The next second, Isabelle, who had just been so brazen, was brutally seized by the throat.
And slammed hard against the office desk.
The woman screamed in terror, her face turning pale and then green.
Silas watched her with chilling eyes, filled with intense rage and disgust.
His voice was cold and mocking:
“What trash are you?”
“Do you even have the right to speak Blair’s name?”
His eyes were extremely dark, radiating a terrifying, bloodthirsty ruthlessness.
The force in his hand grew stronger and stronger

The force in his hand grew stronger and stronger.
Isabelle’s face instantly turned crimson, and she began to roll her eyes, gasping for air.
Landon Price, seeing this, frantically moved forward to help.
Silas merely glanced at him.
It was a threat, a waming.
Filled with endless coldness and dominance.
Terrified, Landon didn’t dare take another step.
Seeing that the woman was about to suffocate and collapse, I frowned and said sharply:
“Silas, let her go.”
At my words, he paused slightly.
Then, he forcefully threw Isabelle to the floor.
She landed, dizzy and disoriented.
She began to cough uncontrollably, tears streaming down her face.
Landon Price gathered her into his arms, his face filled with concern.
Silas pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his hands, his eyes full of revulsion.
Then he came to stand before me.
“Are you okay, Blair?”
“It’s my fault for being late.”
His voice was filled with regret and self–reproach.
He frowned slightly, scanning me.
His surrounding aggression only subsided when he confirmed I was unharmed.
I looked at him, my emotions complex.
I hadn’t expected Silas to come to my aid.
And I certainly hadn’t expected him to treat Isabelle this way.
After all, the killing intent in his eyes just now didn’t seem fake.
I shook my head. “I’m fine.”
Isabelle glared at me venomously.
“Blair Sutton, you actually conspired with an outsider to hurt me.”

“The Sterling family won’t let either of you get away with this!”
Silas lightly stroked the simple ring on his pinky finger.
He sounded like he’d heard a joke.
He looked down at Isabelle, haughty.
“Are you implying that the Sterling family is now at war with my Blackwood Clan?”
Then, a chilling laugh escaped his nose.
His voice was icy:
“I was just looking for an excuse to move against your family.”
“Thank you for the opportunity.”
Isabelle scoffed at his words.
“You’re just an unfavored descendant of the Blackwood Clan. What right do you have to make the Blackwood Clan-”
She stopped mid–sentence.
Something clicked in her mind, and her eyes widened gradually.
Her face instantly turned ghostly pale, and her teeth chattered:
“You… you’re already the current head of the Blackwood Clan?”
