Chapter 20 Arrest Jeremiah
Kolten said, “Mr. Willard, the police claim that they have solid
evidence suggesting your involvement in a kidnapping case. They demand that you go to the station with them now.”
Hearing Kolten’s words, Tehila’s and Jeremiah’s faces turned
pale and soon turned red.
Jeremiah frowned and thought, “So far, I’ve only been to the
station for Tehila. Since I’ve worked, I’ve stayed away from that
place.”
Tehila was shocked by the police’s notice and suspected Seryna
had gone to them.
She looked at Jeremiah worriedly and said, “Jeremiah, wh-
what’s going on? It’s just a prank. Sera is so insensitive. How
could she go to the police?”
Kidnapping was serious as it was a criminal case.
With a gloomy expression, Jeremiah said, “What’s happening?
We’re the Willard family. How dare you come here to arrest
me?”
“Mr. Willard, we don’t care who you are. As long as you’ve

broken the law, this is the police’s business. Please come with
us.””
A young officer stepped forward. The man was 1.85m tall. He
had long legs and a handsome face, making Tehila dropl as she
stared at him.
She thought, “Unbelievable. Do all policemen look like this
J now?”
Jeremiah stood up and straightened his expensive suit before
saying darkly, “Fine! I’ll go with you. I’d like to see what
bumpkin Seryna is capable of.“”
Zachary Solomon, the officer, frowned slightly. Without a
word, he gestured for the police to cuff Jeremiah and get him
into the police car.
Jeremiah finally believed he was being arrested until he got
cuffed. He said in disbelief, “Seriously?”
Zachary looked at Jeremiah as if he was looking at an idiot. He
thought, “You have it coming for messing with Mr. Hatfield’s
girl!”
Zachary said, “Mr. Willard, you’re not above the law.
Understand? It’s clear that you’ve sent people to kidnap Ms.
Seryna. You’re under investigation.”
Chapter 20 Anest Jeremiah
Jeremiah panicked, his leisurely manner vanishing.
As the heir of the Willard Group, he couldn’t face the public if
people found out he kidnapped his own sister.
“Seryna is my sister. She hadn’t been home for a month. I merely
tried to drag her home. This isn’t kidnapping.”
Zachary said aloofly, “Your home can’t be Silveron Edifice’s
underground garage, can it?”
Jeremiah stuttered, “I–I asked them to bring Seryna first because.
I wanted to meet her there. It’s just a misunderstanding.”
Zachary said, “We’ll see about that at the station.”
Jeremiah was stunned.
Shame that he didn’t know it was only the beginning.
Tehila was nervous about the arrest. Once Jeremiah was gone,
she’d lose one person to help her against Seryna.
She called Jennett.
“Mom, big trouble! Jeremiah is arrested because of Seryna.”
Jennett couldn’t believe her ears. “What? That brat! Doesn’t she
know it’ll ruin our family’s reputation?”
Tehila sobbed, “Mom, you and Dad must come home now. I’m scared. Jeremiah is taken away by a mean policeman.”
Jennett cooed softly, “Don’t be scared, Tila. I’m on my way
home.”
Tehila sobbed more before hanging up.
In the police station.
Once Jeremiah walked in, he saw Seryna. Her cheeks were red
and swollen, but he recognized her right away because of her
resemblance to Jennett.
Jeremiah fast approached her and kicked the chair Seryna was
sitting on hard.
Seryna fell to the ground.
Zachary noticed and hurried over to kick Jeremiah in the knee.
Jeremiah fell to his knees right in front of Seryna.
With a frown, Seryna looked at Jeremiah closely and only felt
hate. Before anyone could react, she punched Jeremiah in the
face.
Jeremiah’s mind went blank.

Zachary was surprised too.
Obviously, Seryna thought the police station was her house.
But Zachary pretended he didn’t see the attack.
It made Seryna curious. She asked, “Officer, who is this
madman?”
