Jeremiah felt helpless.
Because he really did kidnap Seryna.
He went home a crying Tehila. So, to avenge Tehila, he decided
to teach Seryna a lesson.
“Dad, Seryna hurt Tila first. She framed Tila for bribing the
etiquette coach. I did it to teach her a lesson. But I didn’t know
she could be so petty. She called the police to embarrass me.”
Jeremiah’s statement only made Tehila think he was a fool since
it dragged her into this mess.
She wondered where Seryna was.
Also, she had to say something to turn the tables.
Rashad’s lecture was stopped by a video.
There was also a text. “Dad, I’ve decided to stay with Grandma
for a while. If you wonder why Jeremiah hurt me, the video I
sent will explain it. You’ve known what Tehila has done to me.
She went to Jeremiah and told him I framed her. I’m sorry, Dad.
I want to return home to take care of you. But Tila won’t allow

Rashad hit play. In the video, Tehila was clutching Jeremiah’s
arm with a pout.

bumpkin. She accused me of bribing the etiquette coach to
target her. She even threatened to kick me out of the Willard
family. Jeremiah, maybe I should leave. These years, I’ve taken.
Seryna’s place in the family. I understand why she wants me
gone. But I don’t want to leave you.”
Rashad frowned. Seryna sent another message.
“Dad, I went to Grandma directly after leaving the house. I didn’t
have the chance to say those things to Tehila. We’re both your
daughters. I don’t want to put you in a quandary. I’ll write an
understanding for Jeremiah within 24 hours. Don’t worry, Dad.
I’m just upset as Tehila has Jeremiah’s love. It’s fine. I know I
have you.“”
In the end, she added a cute emoji.
Rashad smiled involuntarily and thought, “What a sweet girl.
“Good thing that she’s my real daughter, not Tehila. Clearly,
Tehila wanted to kill Tila.”

He rapidly tapped a reply. “Sera, you must be frightened today.
I’m transferring some money. Go buy whatever you want.“”
Then, he transferred 16,000 dollars to Seryna.
Rashad looked at Tehila and said, “What a fool you are,
Jeremiah. Tehila shed a few tears, and you went after Seryna.”
Jeremiah was shocked. “Dad, what are you talking about? Tila
was bullied. You should be defending her, not that brat.”
Tehila’s gaze was filled with satisfaction.
Even if Jeremiah realized Tehila was taking advantage of him,
he wouldn’t turn on her.
She only needed to keep on smearing Seryna’s name. When the
time was right, she’d fake her death to kick Seryna out
permanently.
In this case, nobody could take her place in the Willard family.
Seeing Tehila’s smug smile, Rashad scowled, “Tehila, I allowed
you to stay only because of your engagement with Brunell.
Don’t you dare stir things up again. Or you can rot in jail with
your real mother.”
Tehila shivered and stared at Rashad in disbelief as she didn’t

understand why Rashad defended Seryna.
Jennett frowned and said, “Rashad, how could you say that?
Tila is innocent.”
Rashad replied coldly, “Innocent or not, she knows it better than
- us. Brunell will be back tomorrow. Time to get the engagement
done.”
Tehila kept her head low to hide the dangerous gleam in her
eyes. Turned out Rashad let her stay only because he had
something to gain.
Tehila looked up and beamed sweetly. “Dad, I’ll be good.
Tomorrow, I’ll invite Bruno over for dinner.”
Tehila thought for a moment and added softly, “Dad, perhaps
you can ask Sera to come home tomorrow night too. She’s part
of the family after all. She should be back to meet Bruno and
clear things up as the engagement belongs to her. Please tell her
not to steal Bruno.“”
