Chapter 26 Confidence
Seryna wore a white suit today. With her hair pulled back in a
ponytail, her delicate and impeccable face was fully on display.
A man would be attracted at a glance.
Looking at her gorgeous face, Jeremiah pressed his lips together
and clenched his fists.
His narrow eyes gleamed with vague gentleness.
Seryna was prettier than anyone else in the Willard family.
Although growing up in the countryside, she was elegant and
demure like a well–bred girl from a wealthy family.
If Brunell met her, he might call off his engagement to Tehila for
her.
Seryna glanced at him coldly. “You didn’t hesitate to hurt me.
Why couldn’t I send you to prison? Jeremiah, don’t tell people
you’re my brother. It’s bad luck to have an evil brother like you.”
Jeremiah was dumbfounded. “Seryna, show some respect!
You’re the meanest woman I’ve ever seen!
“No wonder, though. You’re a vulgar villager, after all!”

Seryna sneered, “I’m dealing with a scumbag like you. What’s
civility good for? You call me the meanest? I’m not half as mean
as you. You taught me that the Willards hurt family!”
Jeremiah was surprised by her eloquence, and she was trashing
him. “Seryna, you…”
“Jeremiah,” she called in an icy tone.
With a seductive sneer, she continued, “Jeremiah, a grown–up
lets bygones be bygones. It’s stupid to hold on to the past. I
despise you.”
He’d lose to her soon.
Seryna left coolly. Tonight would be a busy night.
Standing there, with blood–thirsty eyes, Jeremiah watched her
thin figure disappear. Unease crept up in his heart.
There was hatred in Seryna’s eyes. It seemed she’d come back
for revenge.
Handling her wasn’t as easy as he’d assumed.
Seryna came alone. Natalie had offered to accompany her, but
Seryna said no. There were things she must do alone.

She would let her claws show this time, and the Willard family
would suffer.
To destroy the Willard family, she must make Tehila marry
Brunell.
Jeremiah would be devastated only if Tehila killed him.
A bright smile appeared on Seryna’s face when she thought of
this. It was great that she had been reborn.
Just then, her phone rang.
She answered with a smile.
“Hello.”
“Seryna, Brunell and I are gonna talk about our engagement
tonight. Our entire family will be there. Do come. I want you to

Seryna smacked her tongue in contempt. “Tehila, did you forget

marrying into a powerful family?”

“Tehila, you can have Brunell if you want. I did a background
check on him. You two deserve each other.”

Tehila was shocked. Seryna despised Brunell? “You mean it?
You won’t compete with me for Brunell anymore?”
Of course. Why would Seryna want garbage? “A man who can
be stolen isn’t worthy. I can do better.”
She hung up.
Men were unreliable. A woman must strive independently for
herself. Sooner or later, Tehila would get it.
The sun was shining up high. Seryna felt great.
She raised her head to embrace the breeze, confidence written
all over her face.
