Elena’s POV:
The next thing I know, his lips are on mine, and he’s pushing me down onto the sofa. I don’t hesitate either. His soft lips against mine feel like a reprieve, the scent of forest and wood surrounds me, and I can barely breathe as his tongue slips into my mouth.
I want to forget about all of this, everything, and if having sex will blank out my mind, then that’s very welcome.

His frown tightens into something sharper, I can see it–the way his jaw clenches. And yeah, maybe I’m going too far. But my chest keeps aching, and I fucking hate myself for feeling this way.

He forces a smile, all teeth and tension. “Fine then.. transaction, right? Don’t worry. Although it’s my first time in my office, I’ll make sure to savor every second. The sofa won’t work though-
I gasp as he pulls me up. My legs wrap around him instinctively

My eyes widen even more as he places me down on the office table. A file tumbles to the floor. I wince at the sound and glance toward the door.

“Don’t worry. No one would enter without my permission anyway.”
