Chapter 20 Free Medical Consultations
“Alright, go ahead,” the shopkeeper said, waving his hand as he handed Isabelle a register.

The register listed all the residents of Maplewood Community who had requested water–18 households in total. That meant Isabelle needed to deliver 18 buckets of water.
“Boss, is Maplewood Community far from here?” Isabelle asked, staring at the list of water deliveries and deep in thought.
How on earth am I going to carry all this water?Maybe I could ask them to come and get it themselves, but would they even agree? She wondered.
Seeing her troubled expression, the shopkeeper offered, “Young lady, I’ve got a tricycle here. Do you know how to drive one?”
“Can I borrow it?” Isabelle’s eyes lit up. “I can drive it!”
The shopkeeper nodded. “Sure, take it. I’ll load the water onto the tricycle for you.”
“Thank you, sir! You’re such a kind person!” Isabelle said, bowing to him gratefully.
Of course, she didn’t just stand by and watch while the shopkeeper loaded the water. She tried to lift a bucket herself and immediately felt its weight. It was heavier than she expected, but manageable.
Meanwhile, the live stream audience was already placing bets.
“No way she can lift a bucket that big.”
“This task is impossible for her. She’ll need all her strength just to move one bucket.”
“I’m ready to screenshot her struggling face.”
But before the chatter died down, Isabelle had successfully lifted the first bucket. Though she struggled a bit with the first one, the subsequent buckets went much smoother.
Even the shopkeeper looked surprised. “I didn’t think someone as delicate as you could actually carry these buckets.”
“But don’t overdo it, or you’ll wake up sore all over tomorrow.”
“I’ll be careful, thank you,” Isabelle replied. She managed to carry five or six buckets before the shopkeeper finished the rest.
Still, some viewers criticized her effort.
“Honestly, for someone like Isabelle, even lifting one bucket is impressive.”
“She’s a pampered Powell Family noble. She’s nothing like us female college students, carrying water up seven flights of stairs.”
“Female college students might as well be stand–ins for guys–unless they’ve got boyfriends, of course.”
“But isn’t Isabelle technically a college student too?”
Isabelle didn’t care about the chatter. She climbed onto the tricycle and started it up. Parker, the cameraman, and the production crew looked on nervously.
“Wait, Isabelle, are you sure you can drive this thing? Have you ever driven a tricycle before?” Parker asked, worried about a potential accident.
“Why, do you want a ride?” Isabelle shot him a mischievous look. If he wanted to hitch a ride, she could make him help carry water later as repayment.
Realizing what she was thinking, Parker quickly backed off. “No, no, I’m good. Just make sure you drive safely. If you’re not confident, don’t drive. Think about how crowded the streets are–if you crash into someone…”
Parker didn’t finish, but Isabelle got the point. He was worried she’d cause trouble for the show.
With an arrogant grin, Isabelle said, “I can fly a plane. You think I can’t handle a little tricycle?”

Nobody believed her, least of all the live stream viewers.
“Here’s a joke, Isabelle says she can fly planes.”
“Sure, the Powell Family is rich, but not rich enough to buy her a private plane to fly.”
“Who cares? Maybe she’s talking about flying toy planes.”

Despite the skepticism, Isabelle took off like a rocket, speeding down the road. Parker and the crew had to sprint to keep up with her.
Once she arrived at Maplewood Community, Isabelle borrowed two chairs, a table, and even a loudspeaker from the security guard at the entrance, relying on her charm to get everything she needed.
“Free medical consultations from a student intern! Expert pulse readings based on traditional medicine! Everyone, come and give it a try!” Isabelle announced into the loudspeaker, her voice echoing down the street.
A stout, sharp–eyed old lady, who clearly knew all the best places for free and discounted items, was the first to approach.
“Young lady, what’s this about free consultations? Are you charging anything?”
“No charge,” Isabelle replied with a smile. “But I can only see the first twenty people. I still have to deliver all this water after the consultations.” She gestured at the tricycle loaded with water.
The old lady’s eyes lit up. “If your consultation is accurate, I’ll have my grandson help you deliver the water!”
Isabelle’s eyes gleamed, though she pretended to hesitate. “I wouldn’t want to trouble you…”
“Nonsense! Lately, I’ve been sleeping poorly. Check my pulse and let’s see how good you are!”
“Alright, please sit down, and I’ll check your pulse while explaining your condition,” Isabelle said, guiding the grandma to the chair.
A small crowd of curious onlookers gathered to watch.
Parker leaned in close and whispered, “Do you even know how to read a pulse? Don’t mess with these people. What if they come after you later?”
Isabelle shot him a sly glance. “Had a wild night with your girlfriend, didn’t you?”
Parker froze, his expression one of utter shock.
The live stream viewers exploded.
“What did Isabelle just say to Parker? He has a long face!”
“He looks more like he’s mourning.”
“I think I can read Isabelle’s lips. She said, ‘Had a wild night with your girlfriend, didn’t you?“”
“Oh my, did she guess right?”
“Look at those dark circles under his eyes. Either he’s sleep–deprived or something else… Isabelle probably just guessed based on that.”
No one wanted to admit that Isabelle might actually know what she was doing.
Even the Powell Family didn’t seem to be aware of any medical skills she might have.
A fan of the show, curious about the claim, called Isabelle’s brother, Harlow.
“Harlow, does your sister know medicine?”
Annoyed at being interrupted while gaming, Harlow snapped, “Which sister are you talking about?”
“Isabelle, obviously. Who else?”

“She’s not my sister anymore. Besides, she doesn’t know medicine!” Harlow replied bluntly, still unsure why they were asking.
The fan didn’t believe him. “Then check her live stream. Isabelle’s out here giving free consultations, claiming she’s trained in traditional medicine!”
Suspicious but intrigued, Harlow opened his tablet and tuned into Isabelle’s live stream.
