Chapter 15
The bodyguards gripped steel pipes and axes, smashing everything in the villa to pieces right in front of Alaric and Raina.
Paintings, furniture, vases… everything was destroyed in an instant.
Alaric went white as a sheet, his voice shaking as he lunged forward: “Hayes! What are you doing? How did the Thorne family offend you!”
Hayes smiled coldly. “Thorne Industries starts bankruptcy liquidation today.”
Each word hit like a hammer blow.
Raina’s pupils contracted, like she’d been struck by lightning, frozen in place.
The sounds of destruction around her, her father’s cries–everything made her tremble with fear.
She stared at this man who’d turned cold and almost cruel, terror rising in her chest.
“No…” Alaric frantically tried to grab Hayes‘ arm. “For Lennox’s sake! Hayes, please spare us for Lennox’s sake! I’m begging you!”
He babbled incoherently, grasping at straws.
Hayes kicked him away. Alaric stumbled into a broken coffee table, groaning in pain.
“You think you deserve to mention Len?” His eyes were vicious. “You killed her mother, favored your bastard daughter for years, and now you’ve got
the nerve to use her as a shield?”
“Keep smashing!” he barked. “Don’t leave a single piece intact!”
“Please… don’t…” Raina’s lips trembled, all her usual arrogance gone, replaced by pure terror.
She looked at Hayes, trying to summon her old pitiful act. “Hayes, please spare my father! I won’t force you to marry me anymore, I swear!”
“Just… for the sake of how I saved your life back then, forgive our family this once, okay?”
“Oh right, almost forgot about that ‘life–saving favor.“” Hayes turned to her, his eyes dark and consuming. “Who gave you permission to touch Len?”
Raina’s blood seemed to freeze instantly, cold sweat breaking out on her palms.
She forced herself to stay calm, her smile more painful than crying: “What… what are you talking about? I don’t understand…”
“In the detention center, when you had those inmates ‘take care‘ of her, you weren’t playing dumb then.” Hayes spoke each word deliberately.
Raina felt like ice water had been poured over her head, chills running from head to toe as she started shaking uncontrollably.
He knew everything?
Hayes wasn’t finished. He continued listing her crimes: “When those thugs were chasing her and she called me for help, you hung up the phone, didn’t you? Because of that, she almost got assaulted by those animals.”
“And those manipulative texts, deliberately making her misunderstand our conversations… Raina, did you really think that one favor meant you could do whatever you wanted around me?”
With each accusation, Raina’s face grew paler. By the end, her lips were bloodless, only fear left in her eyes.
She couldn’t imagine what was waiting for her.

Chapter 15
“No… Hayes, I just loved you too much… wanted to marry you so badly.”
She collapsed to the floor, tears and snot covering her face. “I didn’t mean it, please forgive me this once? I’ll never bother you and sister again…”
She reached for his pant leg, but he stepped back in disgust.
Vilton Ind
“You’re so desperate to marry into wealth,” Hayes‘ voice was frost–cold, “Mr. Wilton from Wilton Industries is seventy and looking for a new wife. I’ll make the decision for your father and marry you off to him.”
“That way you get your rich husband dreams, and I repay my debt. Win–win, don’t you think?”
His tone sounded conversational, but the ice in his eyes showed there was no room for negotiation.
“No! I won’t!” Raina screamed like she’d lost her mind. “Hayes! I saved your life! You can’t do this to me! That old man could be my grandfather–I’d rather die than marry him!”
Hayes watched her manic breakdown with complete indifference.
He turned to his bodyguards: “Escort Miss Raina over there. Keep an eye on her. Don’t let her run.”
The Thorne villa was finally reduced to rubble. As Raina was dragged out by the bodyguards, she was still screaming curses, her shrill voice fading
into the distance.
Alaric sat collapsed among the debris, eyes hollow, muttering repeatedly: “It’s over… it’s all over…”
Hayes snorted coldly and headed for his car. Just as he reached it, his secretary came running over, breathless.
“Mr. Hayes, we found Miss Lennox!”
Hayes spun around, his eyes blazing with hope: “Really?”
“Confirmed! She’s in London, England!”
The secretary handed over flight information.
“Book the fastest flight immediately! We’re leaving now!” Hayes said urgently, his hand gripping the sapphire necklace in his pocket until his knuckles
went white.
Wait for me, Len
He would find her, explain everything, and bring her home.
Whatever it cost, he had to bring her back to his side!
