Two days prior, the head of the Vance Corporation had contacted me personally, offering to buy my proposal for a hefty sum.

I bit my lip. “We are prepared to offer our full commitment and guarantee a twenty–percent increase in the net profit of Vance Corporation’s biotech products within two years.”
